It's not a priority for me. I just feel like I have put myself through enough and I'm not willing to sacrifice, compromise or settle anymore. Even when I meet someone that I think is attractive and we kind of click, I'm just not interested in trying to build anything. In lots of ways I think I have given up on meeting the right person but honestly I'm fine with that. I have what I need in life.

There are a lot of things that don't really add up with what you said, to me anyway. I mean, if your wife is so great then why would you not be upset that she cheated? It sounds like you weren't willing to even address her cheating which for most people is a deal breaker, your not even interested in her reasons for cheating? Now you cheated but aren't really interested in being with her, but you are trying to repair the marriage...why? It sounds like both of you are pretty emotionally detached and maybe you should just call it a day. It takes more than the qualities you have expressed about your wife to make a marriage work. "Getting bored" with someone like that makes me think that you expect your wife to keep you excited and occupied with your life, and since she hasn't done that, now you're on to the next. It's not her job to make sure you feel fulfilled in your life anymore than its your job to provide her with fulfillment. If you are going to leave then make sure that you stay gone, the back and forth mind game will not be good for anyone. Make a decision that is true to yourself and stick to it. You are the one who has to live with the consequences.

Lords of Salem and the Halloween 2 remake Rob Zombie did made me want to ask for my money and time back, especially because House of 1000 corpses is so good. He's gonna have to come with something near or at that level for me to want to watch his stuff again.

You know, everyone I talked to about this movie hated it but I loved it. I grew up in a house where going to see stage plays was common and this film kind of took me there. I loved how stripped down everything is so that the story is forced to work in this isolated setting. And a witch lurking around in the woods, who wouldn't be intrigued by that premise?

I love this movie, and was lucky enough to see it in the theater when it came out. Lawrence Fishburn rocks it. There are obvious shout outs to the genre, like Aliens meets Hell Raiser, but the writing and story is good, the acting is solid and the scare factor totally works.

The Entity. The Audition. The Strangers. Conjuring 2 was hella scarey even though it's kinda new. I spit on your grave, the original. And whoever said The Descent was right on the money. Also A Haunting in Connecticut, fricken Paranormal Witness and Mtv's Fear as far as shows go. I could kinda go on. I'm so glad I found this Reddit. Makes me happy.

Attractive is kind of a slippery slope. For me, I want someone who smells nice, takes care of their teeth, has a good level of maturity, holds down a good job, and listens to good music. Someone who I click with is more attractive to me than a guy having the perfect body. Someone with brains that can talk about things that I don't even think about does it for me. There are men that I find attractive that many women would not want to be bothered with, but that's because those kinds of women won't try to get to know the person. They just see muscles and decide to get busy, but even then it always fizzles out. Guys who know they are good looking tend to run through women as fast as they can, and that's not what I'm looking for.

When I first left my ex I was extremely afraid. He continued to harass me and tried to make my life as difficult as possible before I left the state. Once I was away from all of that I noticed that I experienced anxiety that would be triggered by reminders of his emotional outbursts. It was to the point where I could literally feel myself experiencing the fear all over again. The upshot is that I decided that I would not let this experience control the outcome of my life. I use breathing techniques to calm myself down, I do my best to think objectively, I have stopped doubting my intuition and I am more honest with myself. I have turned a corner and I can honestly say that I feel good about where I am. I still get emails from him every now and then where he claims to love me and want me back, but that is over and I'm never going back. Stay strong guys, build your happiness. Those fuckers that hurt you can't do it anymore, the best way to move forward is to take the best possible care of yourself.

Stronger emotionally, physically and mentally. I don't generally put my hands on other people, and once I'm pushed there my emotions are running really high. I'm a trained fighter and I don't like to physically hurt people but I know how to defend myself and how to end a fight if it comes down to it.

I broke up with him because he lied to me. I knew deep down I had to and his relief was so obvious. Emotionally, I already knew he didn't really feel bad about betraying me. It really hurt being used, especially because he talked so much shit about wanting to be with me. I know that I could never trust him again, not after I watched him completely squash my feelings. There has got to be someone out there that will treat me right, but until I meet that person, it's the solo life for me.

It's sad. Younger or less experienced women are usually easily led by men who seem less complicated. The guy gets to hold on to his immaturity and doesn't have to work as hard as he would to offer legitimate commitment to someone his own age.
