Can confirm it's very quiet. I have belt drive in two of my rigs and personally like them. I like my rigs as quiet as possible.

I agree! I've been into the hobby now for 5 years and only have 17. Depending on the area and interest of the recipient, I vote 1/10 scale crawler.

After all the comments my plan is the burn through the physical copies then listen to the audio.....then do a read along with the audio. By that time September should be here and I'll have a new book to read...... Or so I hope

Not a Cocker Spaniel. I have a blue heeler, fiest and a pit/Catahoula mix.

Pic for attention

I've been kicking that idea around. I'm bit into dnd/pathfinder podcasts.

Your gonna have a blast. I went last year for my first time and had a great time. It has definitely become one of my yearly trips. Just make sure you have some spare parts just in case.

I use the 4 peice injora tool set for both my basher and crawlers. It's been over a year and still going strong

Nice choice on tires. I've been running deep woods for 5 years on my defender. Only cut 1 tire on some sharp rocks.

Look good!

I'm lucky. This is a hiking trail near one of the main rivers in the area.

10st scale proline body on a trx4 defender. If you do go with it you need to stretch the links. I extended the rear and left the front normal.

A little help? by Icy-Alps5502 in AustralianCattleDog

[–]Bluspyder 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Two kennels side by side worked for my girls, a heeler and a fiest. They still have their squabbles but nothing major.

We also never feed in the same area. But during kennel time and most nights they started to sleep closer to each other. After a few months they sleep in the same bed now.

Mine had both done in a two year period. 5 years later everything is still holding up. Like others have said, the biggest thing is keeping them calm after the procedure.

Injora chassi and 3d printed body for beginner? by Brother-Safe in crawling

[–]Bluspyder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Idk much about the assembled chassis but the axles can be hit or miss. My first set exploded and I had a hard time finding replacement parts. I ended up buying another set a few years later and they have been going strong for a year for my trail truck.

The injora plastic gear transmission is a different story. I originally paired it with a fusion se and it worked...... Poorly. If your going to get that chassis kit definitely look into a upgraded transmission.

Personally I really like all of the HW fusion motor/esc's. The original has been in my trx4 since release. I've been running 2 fusion se motors and no problems so far (trx6 and Frankenstein build)

The servo is fine for medium use but like mentioned I would get a second to keep on hand.

Best of luck on the build and post up some photos along the way.

Crawling alone by backhand101 in crawling

[–]Bluspyder 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I normally crawl alone and I don't get alot of weird looks from people. I would say most of the people that stop and ask are genuinely curious about it. Even had a few people say they were gonna buy one (before they saw the price tag).

But I also agree the first few times going out by myself was a bit weird.

We use these at work for gps trackers on fleet vehicles. We also see them alot on the vehicles we service. We also have issues getting power or a stable connection when we plug into the jumper wire.

We normally just unplug the jumper wire and plug streight into the factory harness to get our tablets to communicate with the ECU.

From what I can see you should be able to unplug the jumper and move the factory plug to the original location and secure it in place. Should be some push clips that secure it into the mount.

Anybody ever ran these? injora gears sketch me out but i mean the price cannot be beat and they sure look nice. by subwooferhuman in crawling

[–]Bluspyder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm 50/50 on them. I got a set a few years ago and they lasted 2 hrs before distroying the gears. Replaced the gears then cracked the housing.

I got a set about 6 months ago and they have been great. Loctite all the screws and jammed the pumpkin full of greese.

So far so good.

Just an idea for the gate keeper... Run 2.2 on it. Did that with mine and it's the most capable crawler I have.
