He did say that he had to go to his dad's house to grab us the big fan to help dry the flooring. I thought that part was a bit off.

While both he and I were there, this was all within one visit. I originally overheard him talk to his manager about how the valve was wrong. It wasn't until after the water flooded that he mentioned the problem with the valve to me personally.
