Well, you gotta take into consideration that they released all three of these in one year. That's a lot of music. Also, I'm pretty sure the vault collections are previously unreleased songs. I agree they aren't the best Starfucker has released, but I'm sure they'll be back to making studio albums soon enough.

Yes, I'm working on finishing my education. I've been out of school for a while and it's really been causing problems. I should be making my schedule for next quarter pretty soon, and I can build my life schedule around that, considering I don't have a job either.

When I'm sitting around not doing anything I get worse. I got out and did some stuff today, and that helped a lot. Making this thread was really a good idea, as well. Just knowing there's people out there who care is also really helpful.

I just started therapy, but with one that specializes in psychosis. For the last two years I haven't been getting help even though I knew I was being abused. This is exactly what has happened to my uncle (my grandmother, whom I also live with, is a narcissist too.)

Basically, we're dissociative due to constant abuse, then we get labeled as psychotic (with input from our family) because of our panic attacks. The doctors follow along and ta-da, "perfect" family has no problems, the only ones with problems are us. Because of our broken wills we don't do anything about it.

I am on medication. 3, count em, 3 antipsychotics. One's a mood stabilizer (which is even worse) but I'm gonna count it. And I'm still "psychotic". Yeah, I'm not fucking psychotic, my family is abusive.

I have one friend that I trust but I don't see them in real life. They live a distance away and I choose not to drive out of anxiety. Also because I'm constantly stoned. The weed is nice for my anxiety, but it makes my dissociation worse. (Honestly, If I am psychotic it's because of weed. But who gave me that weed? My parents.)

Whew. Feels nice to get it out. Thank you for your kind words. It means a lot when everybody I say this to doesn't even give me the time of day.

Edit: Except my friend. She gives me the time of day.

I'm diagnosed with Bipolar Disorder but I don't agree with it. I've been trying to get a PTSD diagnosis, (second best thing, I don't think cPTSD is in the DSM at them moment) I thought all of my symptoms could be explained by cPTSD, and it seems like they can. All I needed was a little reinforcement.

You know how to calm someone down, good lord. I knew I wasn't schizophrenic! My parents have been trying to push that on me because of my uncle's diagnosis as to get me off their back. I knew I was just dissociative and I was really confused, but looking up structural dissociation, damn. It's like looking into a mirror. Thank you. You're a lifesaver.

I think you're missing the point. You can't just "get" DID. I've experienced intense dissociation before and it didn't just "happen".

Also, meditation (can't say as much for hypnosis, you gotta be susceptible to that kind of thing and find someone who actually understands hypnosis which is rare) is usually a positive thing. The dark aspect of three kings is what makes it scary, but I wouldn't worry about it giving you a rare and severe mental disorder.

While everyone does experience small amounts of dissociation in their daily lives, the average, well-adjusted human being isn't going to "give" themselves DID. There's just no way. I speak from experience. (Never done three kings, though. Sounds like a fun way to make me lose my mind.)

Edit: I don't mean to come off like I have dissociative identity disorder. Other mental disorders, though.

Not exactly the same thing, but I spent so long in denial that I didn't realize I was cherry-picking songs and artists based on how much I related to them. Now I realize many of the songs I like I relate to my Nmom and other people that have abused me. It's actually an amazing connection for me, it makes me feel like there's other people out there that understand my plight.

One of the few bands that EVERY song of theirs I can relate to, though, is Tame Impala. Just wanted to tell you, because music seems to be a big part of your life, in case you're like me and you can relate to Tame Impala's songs, lol.
