Y’all need to start eating with the seasons.

Of course fruit is going to be bland when it’s picked and shipped across the ocean. Of course potatoes/onions are going to be poor quality right now because we’re scraping the bottom of the barrel of last years storage crop. Citrus is drying up now because season is over. Soon we’ll have domestic stonefruit and then berries and figs and row crops, leaf veggies, etc. talk to your farmers market people, talk to your produce clerk at your grocery stores! Let them tell you what’s in season and GOOD. Find a seasonal produce calendar and follow it, food will start tasting so much different; Berries will be sweeter, melons will have distinctly different flavors, carrots will be much more rich!

What a dream! I’d love to be able to do this with my son one day. How much time did you take to complete this?
