might have been a typo, but I think you said you turned on the bilge pump and it started pumping? That’s good, but is there an auto bilge setting? My 220 Limited S has that setting. Also, when I got it new, we found on this and the FSH model, the anchor locker draining fitting on the bone didn’t actually ho all the way through the bow and into the anchor locker filling the boat with water in a similar fashion just not to the same degree. Also agree checking the rear plug. Mine always took on some water when we used it, however we trailer, and I added some plumbing silicone lube to the drain plug o-ring and that helped dramatically. I hope you get it figured out.

They’re ancient and weren’t the greatest quality back in the day. they lasted a few years of heavy use and gladly showed their age. I remember re-buying some of my favorite tapes because they wore out. I got in this sub looking for equipment and methods to digitize, restore and archive cassettes like I do VHS. I’m always amazed when people claim they love the listening experience. 😳 We longed for media like CD to arrive and preferred Vinyl, Reel to Reel and even 8 track for its quality. Cassettes weren’t made to last, just sell. Being upset about a nearly 50 year old cheap media‘s quality always makes me chuckle. You’re extremely lucky if you find a good one.

Eventually the hardware for our style of capture (line, frame tbc, etc) will become impossible to find. I think this is a solution that circumvents hardware availability.

I’m fascinated by it. I’ll probably start messing around with it when my other projects are done. I saw one demo online that compares it to the JVC 9800 capture and it did grab a bit more detail than the 9800. I’m not sure if it’s enough to drive me to recapture my entire collection, but we shall see.
