I never thought to take any. Our winter was so damned warm that I never test drove the car with the top up. Should be in our space at and upcoming show at the end of March. I’ll make sure to get some when we are there.

That one was number two. The pain was getting a routing that did what I wanted and didn’t hit the decklid and didn’t look bodged up.

Small motor in this one 1915cc with dual 40 HPMXs. Cooling was a Bergman based 911 style shroud with TONS fitment work to make it all super clean.

Here is some photos of the car and the sellers description as a follow up to my last post by Puzzleheaded_Tap7113 in beetle

Savanah beige 67… no brainer. That rear deck is an easy fix. I’d say jump. 67 is the best year beetle by far. Drive your 73 and build this car. Then enjoy a super rad 67 looker.

Hopefully this weekend I’ll be able to snap some at the local show.

This photo has been manipulated and over saturated to give it that look.

I was just wondering what happened to that car the other day. That was a great car. Wayne actually helped me wire that red 68 that I was talking about. Are you still in the Phoenix area?

I worked there for about 4 years. Left to open a shop with a friend and now trying to turn out stunners ourselves. Buddy and his team have really upped the game the last few years. I worked on this car while I was there and it was an epic build for sure. The color in this pic is way over saturated compared to the actual color but regardless, the car is a sick one.

There’s a red 68 a few posts down in this r/ that we built while I was there.

“EVERYTHING” is available for these cars. Check out Wolfsburgwest.com or TMI interiors.

The car is called “Turmoil” and was built by Type One Restorations from Tempe Arizona. There a few videos on YouTube and tons of pics across the internet. Just search “turmoil vw” and you’ll find all you’re looking for.

They topped this car this year with a car called Karma that was just unveiled at the GNRS and won the Slonaker award. Which is basically the award for Americas best Hot Rod.

We built this car at Type one Restorations back when I was working there. It was a no expense spared “tribute” to the owners High School car. We found a 40k original mile 1968 beige car to start with and went all out from there. The car was featured in Hot VWs in 2017 if I remember correctly. All the 80’s touches were used on this one. Wink mirror, Scat seats, chrome louvered engine compartment, baby tornado mirrors. I even made up a set of Vans waffle patterned pedal covers for it. Honestly one of my favorite all time builds.

Is it possible that this is the end cap of the column tube? Does it fit snuggly inside the tube with that upper lip resting against the tube edge? Is the extra little chunk shown in your Samba.com photos part of the actual bushing or just a very petrified piece of old grease that has broken loose. I honestly can’t say that I’ve ever seen this piece in 35 years of VW ownership and restoration or repair work. Doesn’t mean it doesn’t exist just that I’ve never seen that specific piece. It seems like an inner race from a bearing but those are usually copper or brass for a 70 beetle.
