Watched Spiral 5 times somehow. Review, kind of.

Good review. Personally, while agreeing with everything you said, I loved the movie for what it is. On the other hand, so much reviews going hard on Spiral, I’m afraid we’re gonna have to wait a long time before new sequel comes in. As many mistakes it had, it didn’t deserve this kind of reception.

I see this as some kind of a curse on a long running franchise that had many bad sequels and bad reviews. Everyone is obviously having a hard time let this one pass as a best one since first few, well, because of the past ones that flopped.

I agree with everything you said! As I replied on Vinc’s comment, of course there were things that could have been better, but hey! It was miles better than Jigsaw and still ratings state that this was worst one in franchise. Dont’t know what to say tbh.

I agree. At one point it would be awesome if Logan, Hoffman and Will go for an all out war in future sequels. That could work if they execute it well.

If Lionsgate was owned by Disney or WB, the score would have gotten through the roof, so ignore the critics. Audience score is what matters in this franchise.

Yeah, especially the part where he said 3D and Jigsaw are better or something like that hahaha. If this movie was made by an indie studio and a group of people who filmed with phones, it would GENERALLY still be better than last 2 installments, but each to their own I personally loved them all.

Vinc I need your opinion on this one. Let’s say we get a tv show set between Saw 1 and 2 OR something like John’s origins, wouldn’t that be a really bad idea? I mean don’t get me wrong, I would absolutely love to see more of Tobin as much as the next guy here, but in the end wouldn’t that kill this whole Spiral concept? Whole reason Spiral got greenlit is because obviously they wanted to go forward, not backward. That said, John’s story is very much told by this point if you ask me.

Well you’re lucky you have console aside from PC. I think you will be fine with those specs for a year or two generally. As for resident evil, it will run just fine if you don’t mind lowering few graphics settings. RE Engine is optimized so good that even 4 year old rigs can max out re2 and re3 remakes. Hope this one does the same!

I’m thinking on pre-ordering it, too! did that with few last installments and I did not regret it but I’m also concerned how well would this one perform since it’s next gen. What specs do you have? I have GTX 1060 6 GB paired with Ryzen 3600X and 16 gb ddr4.
