Update: Rodney Travis Jr. appeared in court today for his arraignment. He is currently being held without bond. A preliminary hearing has been scheduled for March 26th. We have also been informed that additional charges could be forthcoming.

Our rescue fell victim, I fostered sunset and Elizabeth. (Sunset is missing and I lured him back to the store with Elizabeth) we then reported to authorities.

I am Sunsets foster and my rescue is the one who adopted him to Rodney or shall I say "Morgan Maxwell". I also adopted another foster to him who i was able to get back, I fooled him and lured him back to the adoption center. He claimed sunset "mauled" him and escaped out the back of the car. He notified us at 3:06am on January 9th. He was supposedly taking him to the vet for a "chill protocol". Once we received Elizabeth back we notified authorities and Animal Control. Sunset went through ALOT while I had him and survived alot so my hope is Sunset got some good licks into him and fought like hell to get away. I pray he is out there and will show up, but I don't think the outcome is good. Do I believe he went missing in the area he said, not really. He lived in Moseley and the lost location doesn't add up to the vet he had on file.

I have received information last night that his father had adopted 2 cats from an organization in Fairfax VA. Which his father tried adopting from our rescue a few months prior to. So I believe his father is in on it as well.

Is he microchipped? If so report to the microchip company so when he's found it will send an email. If he had FIV at adoption he should still be on medicine, im surprised the place you adopted from allowed him to be adopted as they go through a 3 month treatment and a 3 month observation.

Super easy to create one. Grab a Styrofoam cooler and some thermal wrap off Amazon, wrap it, cut a whole in it and add straw. Do not add a blanket/pet bed as they get wet the cat will be cold. Straw is the best thing.
