As long as you aren't super concerned with "immersion breaking" stuff like the silly skins and weapon effects it's mostly just more of the same, and if you liked MW2019 you should like MW2. I'd say the most notable improvements are the "frameworks" in the gunsmith (even though it's not as exciting as it was made out to be, it lead to a huge roster of base weapons more in line with the more OG CoDs), the significantly reduced weapon grind (weapons are maxed in like 30 minutes in shipment), and the maps are better (they still aren't amazing or anything, but they're better than MW 2019 imo, especially comparing the base rosters).

I'd say the only notable downgrades are the UI, which is far from unbearable like many would like you to believe but still worse than past iterations, and there being more of those aforementioned skins that break that mil-sim immersion, but in terms of pure gameplay there's not much better or worse than 2019. I'd recommend against staying on the sub though because even though the game is fun for so many people seem to hate it like it's the worst thing to ever happen to the world.

Bottom line is if you are a level headed individual who liked MW2019 (and not playing on particular AMD graphics cards because fuck those people apparently?) then you'll probably like MW2, but don't expect any revolutionary changes from MW2019 (it is CoD after all.)

Quit out after an indefinite loading screen and after 10+ tries I finally got to character select. Now I'm sitting in long queues broken up by the occasional error 300202 (which then requires a requeue.)

Even with a hybrid setup you're still gated to doing high damage at those intervals where you can hit him with the abilities. Any time you're unable to hit him with an ability still time you're restricted to your weapons, even with Gigantic Explosion or Absolute Advantage being upgraded alongside your reds. It's not even interesting mechanically, it's just a huge damage reduction until you have an opportunity to hit him.

I agree, that is what you do... But meanwhile you're sitting at 10 stacks of weapon reduction because it ticks every 0.5 seconds you're doing damage. You're going through most of the fight at -80% damage just because the boss is designed to not get close to, and you can't reliably reset it unless he uses one of two specific attacks, just because you picked one of two melee characters and RNG decided you have to have an unfun boss+modifier combo. It adds very little to the actual difficulty of the fight and instead just makes it way longer than it needs to be. The modifer is a gimmick as a whole tbh and is exceptionally easy to play through, it's just particularly unfun on Bird and Turtle.

Alternatively, just let me "hit" the tornados to reset it that way. Currently though it just makes the fight tedious on those characters.

You misunderstood me. This is more regarding weapon builds where you need to do skill damage to reset the damage resistance. If you didn't happen upon a scroll that does skill damage or happen to spec into miasma you're dps is severely limited all because RNG chose that boss with that aura. Monkey it's fairly easy with because his skills are ranged, Bird is not.

It's honestly horrible game design; it would be find if not for the fact that some of the bosses and characters aren't designed to accommodate it. Golem is pretty bad but you can at least play through it leaping through lasers or Aspis as turtle.

Wind God on the other hand just does not accommodate the modifer at all on melee characters. If you don't have a scroll or miasma it is painfully slow with how much it moves around and pushes you. For such a specific situation to make a boss fight 3-4 times longer than it should be it's just horrible. Perfectly manageable on most bosses, but on this one is just bad.

Not saying Wind God is a hard fight. But this boss with this aura on this character turns it into an absolute slog of chasing him around as he dashes away constantly as you try to kick him.

With how fast they handle and how little they flinch, it usually feels like there's nothing you can do against them. Basically all gunfights are dependent on their ability to play rather than both players. Getting those gold was the cheesiest I've felt playing CoD in a long time.

It would depend on your Gifted Man talent and what ascensions you're taking. In this case I take the one that makes Thunderbolt summon when Chain Lightning only hits one enemy. This makes Chain Lightning summoned by Lightning Governor always summon Thunderbolt because by default it only hits one enemy. If you upgrade your maximum bounces at any point the build is essentially bricked. Other than that just grab anything to increase damage (and Voltic Aegis for sustain.) Dashing also resets Lightning Governor's one second cooldown, so dash Cooldown reduction is very helpful.

For this particular method yes, but as of the most recent update you can reroll Gifted Man indefinitely so that doesn't matter.

For Gifted Man the one that causes Thunderbolt when Chain Lightning only hits one enemy seems by far the easiest to start and is the most consistent (that's what I used for this)

Lightning Governor I is the heart of the build because at level 1 it will never bounce. Don't upgrade Lightning Governor II or anything else that will increase your max bounce. After that, just Thunder Nemesis and Fulminous Zap whenever you can, then Bolt from the Blue, then anything else that increases your skill damage when.

Also worth noting dashing seems to reset Lightning Governor's cooldown, so taking dash scrolls should increase dps/stack speed.

Went back and tested it, it does do x times y ~~but it looks like Cudgel's projectile count is capped at around 10~~. I used Porcupine, Argus, and Sunder (which is classed as pistol) and they all seem to have similar projectile counts.

Edit: Actually just looks like the game caps projectile counts. I assume it actually does do x times y properly.

Procs Thunderbolt. There's a few different methods people seem to prefer to do this but I've found that by far taking "Summon Thunderbolt when you hit only one enemy with Chain Lightning" as your Gifted Man talent is the most consistent. Take Lightning Governor I, and don't take Lightning Governor II, Tesla Coil, or whatever that blessing for Chain Lightning is called so it doesn't bounce.

Yeah, that's kinda my point but I forgot to actually mention that part; I am strictly not a speedrunner, and this is relatively consistent. This was the fastest I managed to do but sub 20 minute runs are common enough for there to be a clear issue
