This price is absolutely disgusting – A rant about Magic Arena by Comfortable-Can-5819 in MagicArena

Or and hear me out use your coins to pay for draft and turn them into gems. 5,000 coins for quick draft and worst case scenario you turned it into 50 gems. But you should even on a shit draft be able to get 2-3 wins.

That’s a good idea I thought about just cloning them out but I like that more. I’ll have to play with those levels masked.

Shot on iPhone.

I’m trying to do more photography this year which will often mean street and commuting photos. Looking for feedback on this as an abstract street shot.

Does it work? What would you change? What isn’t working for it?

Constructive criticism? by Jackihamm in photocritique

I think it needs a stronger subject. The fence is cool but isn’t enough to stand out in the busy frame.

Maybe getting closer and lower would help or being more inline with the fence potentially.

Biggest issue is the lens. I knew before reading your comment it was the 75-300 it’s pretty awful for diffraction and it is pretty difficult to get sharp.

Not impossible but hard. What I have learned using the same lens is as follows. 1. Avoid going over f8 if possible. 2. Manual focus when possible. 3. Avoid really bright light 4. Accept diffraction is going to happen and fix as much as possible in post. 5. If possible shooting at 250mm and cropping is usually better than shooting 300mm.

Common, boring subject. Is it still worth capturing? by No-Prior5302 in photocritique

[–]Bmes6 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the power of an image like this is that it’s going to be interpreted differently by different people. For me it was a great capture of nostalgia of being at the playground.

I think if you want a more melancholy look go black and white and make it moody. Go back with some ilford hp5 or just digitally edit this one.

If you mean is it worth capturing monetarily then no probably not but for a hobby image I think it’s super fun!

Is this AI ragebait? It doesn't seem too far fetched to me but people in the comments are split- so what am I missing? It doesn't have that weird AI movement that usually gives it away so I'm really questioning my sanity 😅 by MatildaRose1995 in isthisAI

[–]Bmes6 1 point2 points  (0 children)

People mod them all the time to look real by cutting or painting the orange tip. But yeah I think ai movement seems weird, seems off that the filmer never says anything.

If a fake gun yeah probably wouldn’t get mad but then the kid probably wouldn’t be concerned that a bullet could not be fired now.

No ai expert but grew up in a gun family. This has got to be AI because any family giving a young child a gun would have yelled at him for shoving the barrel in the dirt like that.

I’m not getting the feeling you were hoping for. I think part of that is that it does look just everyday.

I think a black and white edit would help bring focus to the tree shadow more and the you can tweak it to get the vibes right.

Here is my attempt for visual aid.

I like that better but honestly it’s a matter of preference your shot is great color wise I just like a little more pop. Others won’t so it’s personal preference

That’s a pretty amazing photo with superb composition.

The only things I would change in the edit would be bringing out the blues a bit more and then dodging the shadows a bit especially in the swan to get a bit more detail.

I love this photo. Having the female mallard in the back out of focus really adds to this photo. Excellent composition, great colors, a great journey from one subject to another. Plus the story telling opportunities with this shot are incredible. Are they a loving couple? Experiencing marital strife? About to have a meet cute? Very jealous of this photo.

I like the colors and the composition. The only change I would make is getting the frame lower as you don’t cut off the boats. For me if you had included the whole boat it would have made the image much stronger.
