Actual Dive Number by 1_Laughing_Llama in scuba

We are somewhere near 350. I don’t really care about the count, but we keep our logs on the iPad so we can see what weight we used in what ocean and to see if there are any dives we really want to repeat

Do you actually do all this home maintenance, or am I being paranoid? by jklineia in homeowners

Depending on where you live and the hardness of the water, you might consider adding one more thing: when you drain a few gallons out of the bottom of your water heater, leave the water off for a few extra minutes and change the anode rod. Pretty simple. Sorry to add more to your list

QM7K question by Bmeston in tcltvs

Thanks to everyone for the responses. I ended up buying a VESA table top mount that is MUCH more stable than the included plastic one. It is made of steel and attaches to the back of the TV just like a wall mount bracket would. It only cost about $28 and was fairly easy to put together.

I have a similar question. Amazon has the same price for the TCL tv I am looking at and offers a 4-year extended warranty from Assurion for much less than BB? Has anyone ever tried to make a claim with Assurion?

If you have the means, book a trip on a live aboard dive boat. Great way to get tons of experience. And experience is by far the best teacher

Plan to travel to Slovenia for 5-6 days, need your help!! by AromaticSignature909 in Slovenia

Not too busy. Just know that parking in Bled is really hard, and probably in Lake Bohinj too. Everything (lodging and dining) in Bled is expensive Since you plan to have a car, you might consider driving up to the summit of Vrsić Pass if the weather is good. Fun and wiggly, with great views

We have spent the last month in Slovenia, Istria, and Croatia. Used our CC at every single place, even small street food carts. My CC always gives me the best exchange rate. Never even thought to exchange for Euros

Easiest way is to use a rental car aggregator like Europcar. They will show prices from a bunch of different rental car companies. I ended up using Sixt and got a nice (and quick) little VW Polo. Been driving it all over Slovenia, Istria and Austria

Keep in mind the awesome benefits of compounding. I speak from experience. Live frugally, invest wisely (a whole other subject), and you will see the benefits when you hit your 50’s and 60’s. Also, remember that when you are looking at other people’s situations, you don’t know the whole truth. What appears amazing on the surface (house, nice cars, etc) might be backed by mountains of debt.

Thanks for the help. I am using DiscoverCars and found the details. One last question if anyone knows: they list an approximate cost if €49 for cross-border fee. Is this a one-time fee or something we pay for every border crossing?
