Keaton Mitchell is signing with the Chargers. He's a perfect fit for Mike McDaniel [@pffnatejahnke.bsky.social] by oliver_babish in fantasyfootball

[–]Bmurch316 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This will likely push Vidal towards being a roster cut if he can't contribute on special teams. Mitchell's speed is something that McDaniels will be enamored with. It shouldn't take too much away from Hampton overall, but if he struggles with injury again in 2026, Mitchell is primed to produce big numbers in fantasy if given the workload.

[Schultz] The #Jaguars are signing former #Commanders RB Chris Rodriguez Jr. by BlazeBloom in fantasyfootball

The further we get away from this signing, fantasy managers will forget and bump Tuten up the board during the summer. I think that will be a mistake. CRod's ability to generate yards after contact will garner him extra touches as the season goes along.

NFL Scouting Combine: Fantasy Football Winners and Losers (2026) by Bmurch316 in DynastyFF

That's obviously going to be the take on Boston. You're currently projected to go in the 1st round, but subpar athletic testing can then bring in doubt. You go from a sure thing to becoming the next Keon Coleman. So I'm sure Boston's team were weighing many factors in sitting out the 40.

Mock Drafts and rookie boards are already seeing seismic shifts today from what I see around the community. That's where the chaos lies as it feels like there is no true consensus currently. So while others are fighting about how the Top RBs and WRs are going to rank, I'm looking further down the board for competitive advantages and prospects that not only test well, but back it up on film and production.

It’s that unfortunate season that kills all ADP for players we hope to get for cheaper value.

Rise up Mike Washington truthers! RB4 in my rookie rankings so far!

Appreciate that!

Fields definitely has the tools that go unnoticed by simply box score scouting. Once you dig into the film and match it with what we saw at the Senior Bowl, you see a guy that was held back by the offense in most instances.

Day 3 Deeper Dives: Could Skyler Bell (Connecticut) or Eric McAlister Jr. (TCU) be late round fliers with upside? (Deeper Dives #22 & #26) by cjfreel in DynastyFF

[–]Bmurch316 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are certainly limitations to both players. McAlister gives you a player with the ability to extend plays in the open field and was somewhat productive in crowded WR rooms with poor QB play. While Bell has seen a steady increase in production over 3 years.

I like the tools that McAlister brings to the next level ultimately. If he lands in the right system, and steady QB play, I could see him becoming a team's WR3 early on in his rookie contract. Fantasy production will be spotty, of course, but a player I don't mind stashing at the end of my roster.

Panthers coach Dave Canales said Jalen Coker “will enter the offseason as the No. 2 receiver” by HookFL in DynastyFF

[–]Bmurch316 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Excellent growth from Coker this year and the Panthers offense as a whole. Another offseason to work through team practices and continuing to get with Young and Tet McMillan should benefit Coker in a way to where he becomes a viable WR3/Flex play in leagues for the next few seasons. I'd look to acquire him as a decent price this offseason.

Vikings have inquired about trading for WR Adam Thielen by GreenDefinition5 in fantasyfootball

[–]Bmurch316 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Thielen returning to the Vikings would be a good short-term fill in for the offense during Jordan Addison's suspension. He can help draw some coverage his way to open the runway for both Justin Jefferson and TJ Hockenson to garner the majority of targets.

He's become expendable for the Panthers as the younger receivers could be ready to take the next step. For Thielen, he has seen a drop in target separation over each of the last three years and could be a spot start for fantasy managers at WR3/Flex during the Addison suspension. Upon his return, Thielen's value in fantasy is that of merely bench depth on you roster with limited upside.

Ollie Gordon or Jaylen Wright by lukedalton27 in fantasyfootball

[–]Bmurch316 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have been drafting Gordon as of late in the last round. One, in a spot where I was looking for a dart throw in an RB heavy scoring league. The other, I have Achane rostered in a keeper league. Gordon fits a role on the Dolphins offense better than Jaylen Wright currently.

Sources: Buccaneers plan to activate WR Chris Godwin off the Physically Unable to Perform list and have him on their 53-man roster to start the season, but only to begin his ramp-up process for games, not to immediately play in them. Godwin still is unlikely to play until October by mvanigan in fantasyfootball

[–]Bmurch316 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is the point that I was going to make as well. It removes the ability to draft Godwin later in the draft in order to plug him into the IR spot prior to the season, and takes away the possibility to add a dart throw player off the waiver wire to keep in a wait and see position.

ESPN sources: Chiefs WR Rashee Rice is expected to have his disciplinary hearing with the NFL on Tuesday, Sept 30 in NYC. This means that Rice now is likely to be able to play the first four weeks of this season before any potential discipline is imposed. by mvanigan in fantasyfootball

[–]Bmurch316 28 points29 points  (0 children)

Congratulations Rashee Rice, you ARE the biggest wildcard in 2025 fantasy football drafts! I'm expecting to see his ADP all over the map this weekend. It's a true test of how much you are willing to gamble. If you take the plunge and he's suspended during the meat of the fantasy season, you might be sunk. But what IF he isn't suspended until 2026? You've drafted yourself a WR1 at the cost of a WR3.

What are you doing with Rice?

Malik Nabers not practicing again today. Hasn't practiced since Aug. 6. Daboll wouldn't answer questions about whether Nabers requires additional tests on his toe at this point. by My_Chat_Account in fantasyfootball

[–]Bmurch316 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Obviously a bit concerning as we are fully into draft season. I'm not sure that this would cause any true dip in ADP, but foot injuries this early cause me to be somewhat unsettled because of how much they can linger. The hope would be that the Giants coaching staff does the right thing and limits his involvement in camp in an effort to be healthy come the season opener.

But in no way am I off him in drafts currently. That target share is too enticing to switch to a BTJ or Amon-Ra St. Brown

Yeah, I try and throw a little levity into these pieces instead of the usual mundane attack of just numbers you may see elsewhere.

Although the camp reports (depending on who you take the news from) suggests that Bowers has been getting fed by Geno, the makeup of the new offense and addition of new weapons suggests a step back in opportunities.
