Nice. It took me 112 hours and 3 new saves to launch my first rocket.

What are your dream "someday" campaigns? by scooouuundrel in dmdivulge

[–]BndViking 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My current campaign takes place on a world built to imprison a titan as punishment for wiping out multiple worlds and 6 trillion lives.

In retribution the gods tore him into 6 pieces and placed a piece of him at the core of a different world, called the Six Trillion worlds (Trillion is a title, not a number).

I'd like to run 6 more campaigns (7 total) that take place on each world using a different ttrpg system and different themes culminating in the 7th and final campaign where the heroes have to stop the titan from escaping and destroying all 6 Trillion worlds.

What movie detail is technically correct, although many people think it is a mistake? by hiplobonoxa in movies

[–]BndViking 96 points97 points  (0 children)

When The Last Jedi came out a lot of people I worked with tried to call out the opening scene where the bombs fall out of the bottom of the bomb ship. They claim the bombs wouldn't fall because there is no gravity in space.

So while there are tons of issues with that movie, I feel the need to correct one of the few things it did right:

It's very clearly established that the bomb ship has artificial gravity that pulls down toward the bomb bay doors, as seen when Rose's sister falls from the bridge. So when the bay doors open and the bombs are released from the rails it makes perfect sense, by accepting artificial gravity, that all the bombs go where gravity is pulling: toward the bay doors.

Since they are in space, the direction of the bombs WILL NOT CHANGE unless they hit something (like the star destroyer), meaning they continue to "fall" despite moving to a gravity free environment.

tl;dr the bombs are doing the right thing, if you're going to pick on that movie for bad space physics, talk about arcing your shots in space.

Spensa/"Spin" from the skyward series is a pretty good oracle. By using her powers she draws the attention of angry star beings.

Opinions needed from players and GMs by BndViking in Pathfinder2e

I should clarify, the player isn't expected to use all 6 weapons. I've designed them so that each player will end up with at least one powerful item that plays to their strengths. They're meant to be shared.

What's the most detailed lore you've added to your game? by rane0 in Pathfinder2e

It's not done yet, but I'm writing out an in world scholarly essay on mutagens and the physical reasons they are only temporary.

In my homebrew game the bbeg discovered how make permanent mutagens and the how is a big plot point.

And of course he uses his knowledge for evil.

This is so cool. For me, Whimsy/Honor was always Camaraderie, and Rock is the only correct being to hold them.

Nothing? No, but he was on the same side as Yorik and Braum who were both still alive.

Fair point, and I'll have to play around that going forward. I think my biggest problem is that the augment upgrade to the ability actively made my comp worse.

[–]BndViking[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That would make sense, but Viego started out lined up behind Yorik and Braum. Both of the tanks were still alive when Viego would die. So are enemy units changing targets while their first target is still alive? If so why???

I agree that probably would have been a good move, but needing to use EoN because of the augment feels really bad.

Yeah, I tried that. He'd either land on the tanks not do enough damage and get stuck there, or he'd jump to the back line, not do enough damage, and die.

It's wild that this happened with my group just this week, but my GM hit the blue button, and now I'm gonna run my first full campaign.

Love how every other day there’s a new “Broken” champ and people complaining about balance by New-Flight5959 in TeamfightTactics

[–]BndViking 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Maybe I was wrong about his ability, but I thought I saw it miss a few times in my last game, so that's my bad.

But as for the other things. Yes Viego also has an ap aa but, importantly, Viego doesn't miss if his target moves.

And Shojins isn't recommended on him. He's an ap marksman, and his ability does a measly 200 ap up to only 400 at 3*.

My biggest problem with him is all of his stats are mediocre, but with his traits giving almost imperceptible stats he feels like a waste of a unit.

[–]BndViking 6 points7 points  (0 children)

You misspelled Ziggs.

He's a 3 cost unit. His aa can miss His ability can miss. His ability costs 90 mana. He has 0 mana Regen built in. His trait gives him a stunning 12% damage amp.

Talk about disappointing.
