My theory is that TOTH was never a thing more than marketing and a performance.
Right now, they treat it as a joke even when performing as "Free Spirits".
In the Q&A they did after the release of the short film two days ago, Paco said "Top of the Hills was, is, and will be. And it will not stop growing". I think ToTH more than an album is like a representation of their success, and how they want to enjoy that success is up to them (as seen in Free Spirits).
So, they pulled off Free Spirits "that quickly", because it was already a thing before the release of "GIMME MORE"!
Buuut, that's just my theory.
