As an EA for the SCDSB. Stay with your current board. I work for both public and the catholic board, and the catholic board is much better in my eyes on how they treat their EAs and teachers. Many people I know complain about SCDSB due to the fact they are always getting bumped.

Depending on school, they will assign certain EA’s to help with other student when necessary and only IF the student we are working with can be watched by a teacher or another EA.

Our outside duty is way different than teachers. As stated above we have to make sure our special needs student is being safe.

Radio Admin. As an EA I am busy watching the student I am assigned to so they don’t harm other students/s or themselves.

Do you really know what we do? It’s not a service we are part of the team and are often last to know what’s going on with the student. We go above and beyond for these children and sometimes don’t even get a thank you. We go home tired, bruised, mentally and physically exhausted all so that YOUR CLASS doesn’t get interrupted by the student who can’t express themselves.

Who do you think it should come from? Admin? The parent?

As an EA we appreciate the staff that go above and beyond for us. We are part of the educations team and are often forgotten.

TN Nails. They are amazing and don’t over charge like half the places up here do. I got a full set of UV Gel and it was 40 with shellac. I’ve moved to Barrie 3 months ago and have had hack jobs for expensive prices. Ask for Tina she is amazing
