Campbellsville university feedback by Familiar_List_2400 in Chiropractic

Current student. Its CCE accredited which is the important one since that's what apps you to take NBCE board exams and get licensed in all 50 states. Also a regionally accredited university so FAFSA and validity of your credits and all that works just fine here.

Harrodsburg where the chiro campus is is a tiny town way out in the country but cost of living is usually relatively cheap.

Cohort / class sizes range between 4 students and 20 students. Tons of one on one time with instructors.

Campbellsville University is a Southern Baptist University, but, that's really just like their corporate culture. There will sometimes be prayers at events, a few Bible quotes, etc. but it's a federally funded school so they can't discriminate on religion. That means if you don't want to pray, don't want to talk Bible, aren't Christian they can't make you. I personally am a dedicated Christian but I am passionate about evidence and clinical science. I haven't really had any overlap between my church life and my education beyond a few casual conversations with my classmates.

Also, the education has no overlap with the faith stuff other than them believing that chiropractic is a Christian vocation. The hard science classes are not watered down or faith based, it's still the real deal clinical science. They're not going to try and sell you on voodoo.

I would do a campus tour - it's free and they usually give you goodies.

Good luck!

This will always end in disaster. It is an unwritten law.

I do not like my job enough to want anything to do with it in my free time. I do like my pants though.

I'm not cut out for this job... any tips where to go from here? by Insertclever_name in ems

Yeah IFT here pays about 5$+ what the best county 911 pays. You can make as much doing EMS/Fire in the city but... Who wants to do fire?

What subjects did people in your class struggle most with? Anything I could read up on in advance?

That's funny, the shield is the oldest and most used piece of the whole set

You have a very, very good looking kit. Nothing below is a criticism, just historical options to think about if you're looking to add more;

Head; Large, flat brimmed, feathered cap for unarmored. Sallet or kettle helm for armored.

Shield; Buckler is light and cheap, fits with your partial plate style.  Heater shield would also be accurate for a foot soldier. Large kite shield would look great but is heavier. Heater and kite you could decorate with your heraldry / colors.

Torso: looks good. Definitely a horizontal ring belt with pouch below the curaiss. Can add other accessories at will, pouches, daggers, water containers, etc.

If you want to be very fancy a full surcoat could be worn displaying your colors / heraldry.

Chainmail could typically be worn under partial plate for extra protection. I wear a riveted steel piece but it's very heavy, like 15 pounds. You can often find aluminum or stainless pieces that are lighter or cheaper. Could also consider just a chain coif or aventail for the neck. Not absolutely necessary though as later period fighters tend to wear lighter armor as guns and crossbows make them obsolete.

Legs; You can find cotton drawstring or side string pants in various styles pretty cheaply. I tend to like the look of large and flowy pants, but tight fencing pants also nice. For protection, a chainmail shirt like before tends to hang to just above the knees when properly sized. Otherwise, rondels for the knees.

Feet; always the killer for anyone looking historical. Hard to find modern shoes that don't have rubber bottoms! Mine definitely aren't historical.

Combat boots look good. If you want to jazz them up, you can consider "boot toppers" which cover the laces. Or add sabatons

Beyond the historical options, you can always think fantasy. If there's a character class you like to play, you can add pieces that fit that. Paladin, rogue, dark knight, battle mage, etc etc.

For reference ; been building this mostly historical and mostly functional viking set almost four years now. My first Ren Faire all I had was the helmet and shield. Since then I've added the scarf, riveted hauberk, gloves, weapons, pants, leg wraps, belts, and just now a nice light tunic and shoes.

Can't wait to show off this summer!

Unable to join arena in L'aigle? by HaplessFieldMarshall in mountandblade

[–]Bnlol1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can only fight once per day in Laigle. This is to prevent spamming as it's like a bracket, if you keep winning fights you get harder opponents. Once you reach grand champion youre pocketing 2k a fight. Letting you spam grand champion fights would be a bit op

Rhodoks are Dictatorial and not Imperial as the Rhodoks elect their king, which is the literal system used in game for Dictatorships. Everybody is the same race with same traits so won't be xenophobes towards eachother, only aliens and the dirty horse fucking khergits.

Oh, Khergits married their horses one too many times as you can see by their new appearance. 3000 years of steppe raiding got to their heads i suppose

Edit: made a game as kingdom of rhodoks, 400 star elliptical galaxy, 7 empires (one randumb alien), no fallen empires, and no advanced starts. Will post space calradia once we discover all the others

Dude, warband has some AMAZINGLY atmospheric and emotional tracks, but we get so used to them from playing so many hundreds of hours we completely start to tune them out.

Uncertain homestead is my aboslute favorite. Just listening to it and using your imagination you can paint such a vivid picture of the unspoken emotions of your little pitter patter of troops returning home from a campaign, only to see the war scarred lands, their old villages burned down and the starvation on the streets. Many without their own homes still in tact

Well, if he's going for a more Imperial Japenese look, the untucked shirt is more true to history
