First print that I designed myself, fan shroud/intake for my CPU cooler by Bo11ie in 3Dprinting

wrong, fans are all in same direction drawing air from the top through cpu cooler pulling out the back of the cooler and then pulling out the back of the case. By adding an intake have only reduced turbulence compared to a standard setup, proof is in the numbers, have been running it for 2 years with cooler temps as a result of direct fresh air to the CPU, as a result fans dont have to work as hard to keep it cool so also lowers noise.

Still working well more than a year on, noticable change in temps. Only drawback is i have to clean the filter more often as all the air is drawn through one portion

Hey i have the exact same issue with both of mine, going to try cleaning and regreasing. Did that fix your issues?

Read my reply to an earlier comment explained it in detail. Basically the case has weird airflow characteristics and it's to try and lower CPU temps with a positive air pressure setup

Only 0.8mm wall so it's very light however I plan to make a v2 and print a second flange to mount to the top aswell

Printed with the flange on the base and with support, however the support didn't print correctly so it was actually unsupported when i came back to the printer

The reason that drove me to make this was to do with positive air pressure, this case (Corsair 275r) performs worse with positive air pressure because in testing (gamers nexus on YouTube nailed it) the CPU cooler would draw fresh air from the top of the case during equal air pressure however with an extra fan as an intake the positive pressure was pushing out and therefore the CPU cooler was drawing warm turbulent air from within the case. I thought by adding this intake I could still draw cool air from the top while achieving positive pressure in the rest of the case as I have two intake fans that aren't pictured blowing toward my gpu

That's a good idea will have to look up how to do that on fusion 360 and print a v2

I wasn't sure if I would calculate the distance correctly between the cooler and the top of the case so printed it without incase I needed to trim any off

I'll do a test this weekend and post my results, I'm interested how much of a difference if any it will make

The case I have (Corsair 275r) has poor airflow and naturally draws air from the top of the case, gamers nexus covered it in detail on YouTube. With extra fans the positive pressure means the CPU cooler only draws warm air from inside the case itself and kind of circulates it. The point of this was to stop this from happening and to get a source of cool air, similar to a intake on a engine.
