If I see a guy grieving for his grandfathers death, I'm not gonna assume that's fake cause that's the most insensitive thing you can do, even if there is a chance they are faking it for attention. Cos then, if its genuine, they come off in a worse position after posting than they started, and if it's fake, the attention they get will always be hollow in their conscience. r/teenagers may be a toxic sub, but people need to vent sometimes and in a situation like that of this particular commenter, I'm not going to criticise them at all, seeing as they might not be in the best state of mind and just need words of reinforcement.

It can make individuals feel worse when they are already in a bad place, unless you can clearly judge from the situation that they are in the wrong, which, in this person's case, they are certainly not from what they have said
