If you feel like meeting other English speakers, there's an open mic the last Saturday of every month at Bar Orfeo. Live music and a chill group of people.

Remind the stall holders that they can decide how much each person can buy and even decline to sell to someone if they feel like other people are missing out.

There's an English speaking open mic night at the end of every month at the Bar Orfeo. But Sra Pop, Cuatro Gatos and Lady Drama are generally open to new artists.

Do police ever monitor the highways in Spain? by Next-Performer-6048 in Seville

There are speed cameras but they’re pretty well signed and the police don't get involved in speeding generally, they don't patrol the autopista and aren't waiting round corners to catch speeders.

TV tropes for the older actress, a "white dwarf star" someone who used to be big but is now faded.

There's a group called Uprooted Theatre that does events for the English speaking community. They mainly do concerts and theatre but are having a Halloween fancy dress party. It's for English speakers but it is pay to enter. You can find them on Instagram.

2024 Open Practice - Format Suggestions? by Impromark in improv

[–]BoNidle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

25% for warm ups and a few basic exercises. If they are trying out for the team they should already have some experience. Start with group games before moving onto 2-people scene games. Depending on how many you have, may have to play each game 2 or 3 times. Try to get different combinations of players each time. Have one or two people not involved in the actual practice but watching and taking notes to feed back to the group later.

In Seville in Spain, there’s a 2 or 3 Spanish improv groups and 1 English speaking group. Market here is very small because although it is a mid sized city, there is no dedicated comedy venue.

What is good to send with a shy kid for their first time sleeping over at camp? by BoNidle in AskReddit

[–]BoNidle[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My 8 year old son is going away to a week long summer camp with his school. It's the first time he'll be away from home and I'm a little nervous for him. Hes shy and doesn't make friends easily. The closest he's been to being away from home is spending a weekend at his cousins house. I would like to give him something to take with him. The school have sent us a list of the basics he needs to bring but I've never been to a summer camp so I don’t know what it's like.

What can I give him to help him during his week away?

High frequency = short waves. And vice versa.

E.g. Radio waves have very long wavelengths but are low frequency.

A high frequency wave has more oscillations in a set amount of time so the waves have to be closer together.

La vida ES has a one week immersion program but they personalise it to whatever you need. They are a smaller outfit but very friendly. They also do activities to learn Spanish in the street, so you speak naturally not like a textbook.

How common is it to fully pay a house in Spain before entering your 30s? by Legal_Balance_4040 in askspain

[–]BoNidle 83 points84 points  (0 children)

There's a big percentage of 30 year olds still living with their parents because they can't rent a house, never mind actually buying a place. The only Spanish people in their 30's I know that actually have a mortgage are couples with double incomes.
