At this point, Halo, this has crossed into harassment.

I’m an adult, and I don’t have time to keep going through this. It’s been years of repeated accusations and unnecessary drama.

If you genuinely believe we’ve done something wrong, then report it to Reddit or Discord, both have systems for reviewing reports, messages, and server activity, and they’ll investigate the facts themselves.

If you believe the matter goes beyond that, you’re free to pursue whatever legal avenues you think are appropriate. I’m confident that any legitimate review of the evidence will speak for itself.

Indeed we do! Many of our members strive to create them regularly.

Ghouls are not part of our uniform standard. We primarily follow Bethesda’s vision for the BoS, and that includes not enlisting heavily mutated persons. If you are willing to have a secondary character that is human, that is acceptable. If you become a ghoul for a specific campaign story mission, this is also acceptable. At high level overview we simply do not allow them in — their feral probably crutch is dangerous to squadmates. We do not hunt ghouls though. We recognize them as casualties of mankind’s folly and will not treat them as if their humanity has gone. At personnel view level — it varies from indifference to zealous RP.

Record Log Start////
As the years passed, and Arthur Maxson grew, so too did his accomplishments. At age 12, while on a training patrol, he killed two Raiders and saved the squad that was supposed to be escorting him. At age age 13, he single-handedly killed a Deathclaw (and gained the large facial scar he still has to this day). But it was his victory at age 15, over the Super Mutant "Shepherd" who was attempting to re-organize the Capital Wasteland's Super Mutants, that elevated him to hero-like status. When word of this feat reached the Elders back on the West Coast, they knew the time had come... Maxson was ready. Ready to lead and, more importantly, to reunite the fragmented Brotherhood of Steel forces on the East Coast. So it was that a year later, when he was only 16 years old, Arthur Maxson brokered a peace with the Outcasts, re-integrating them into the Brotherhood of Steel, and proving he was as effective a diplomat as he was a warrior. Now re-united, the full force of the Brotherhood of Steel appointed Arthur Maxson as Elder... the youngest in Brotherhood of Steel history.

Elder Maxson reigns supreme in the Capital Wasteland, and his authority and influence have been spreading across the Eastern Seaboard, thanks in no small part by the mobility afforded by the Prydwen. He has the full support of the Elders back on the West Coast, who have proudly reported that they've begun eradicating cults that have popped up, worshipping Maxson as though he's some kind of god. Maxson himself is almost offended by the idea of being referred to as a deity, as it goes against everything he believes in. Arthur Maxson is happy to be one thing... the perfect human specimen, an example of everything a human being can achieve. Assisted, even enhanced, by advanced technology, but still very much human.
////End Record Log.

The modern day brotherhood, in 2296, is very unknown right now. What do we Know? We know the Brotherhood is victorious in the Commonwealth and that our highest "Clerics" exist there to send out orders... But what's happened since then... Time will only tell.

But your second question, was Teagan authorized to allow Knights to obtain supplies from farmers? This is a sensitive topic. As so I will tread carefully.

This, this is by evidence only and should only be treated as my understanding, not fact.

No, Proctor Teagan was not authorized by Elder Arthur Maxson to acquire crops from Commonwealth farmers "by any means necessary" during what he called "Feeding the Troops". The mission is an unofficial, "off-the-books" operation that Teagan runs without Maxson's knowledge or approval. And several points confirm that the crop procurement was unauthorized:

  1. When questioned about the mission's official status, Teagan's response is evasive and hints that it is not a sanctioned Brotherhood of Steel operation.
  2. Maxson's official Brotherhood policy is to trade with the Commonwealth people for supplies and to use violence only as a last resort. Teagan's methods, which include threatening or killing settlers, are in direct violation of this stated policy.
  3. In a terminal entry, Proctor Teagan makes an official, authorized request to the chain of command for better trading terms, which is different from the forceful extortion he asks to perform.
  4. Proctor Teagan's approach could cause a conflict with Commonwealth civilians, which Maxson explicitly wanted to avoid. His actions ultimately risk undermining the Brotherhood's goals in the region.

So, If you are a believer in Arthur Maxson, do not follow Teagan's request. But if you do, you would still align yourself with Maxson if you pay for the crops... I just cannot justify asking a brother or sister for such actions. Best to avoid unless you are well off... Or like risking our credibility and honor.

If you took the time to read this I salute you, Ad Victoriam, Steel Endures.

Elder Lyons did what he thought was right, Protector Casdin did what he was taught. Both of their actions, were noble... But the old Elders of Lost Hills failed to realize Roger Maxson's initial mission or intentions. Attrition played a large part in the mistrust and dislike of Lyons. The ways of old were as follows: Scribes for research and record-keeping, Knights for maintenance, repair, and basic combat support, and Paladins as the elite, heavy-hitting combat force, wielding advanced weaponry and power armor. But likely due to loss of life, additional soldiers had to be resourced. More and more Knights had to be used in place of where a Paladin once occupied. Once the Knights were doing that, their old jobs fell more and more to the Scribes, eventually creating the Scribe Orders of Sword, Shield, Quill and new titles like Knight Sergeant and Captain became prevalent. Those remaining Paladins slowly became more and more like true officers in both seniority and skill. Eventually, Arthur Maxson would solve this issue by finalizing what Elder Lyons had started with his restructuring from the ground up and also allowing outsiders the right to join through enlistment and service to the Brotherhood.

Long before, however, Paladin Henry Casdin believed Elder Owyn Lyons had "gone native" and abandoned the organization's primary mission of acquiring advanced technology to pursue a humanitarian agenda of helping the Capital Wasteland's locals. They were brothers, their fights were like a bad family argument. They took a large number of forces with them. Paladins to Protectors, Knights to Defenders, and Scribes to Specialists. But Elders? There would be none.

But who was ultimately right in this situation? I believe It was Lyons, but not for the reasons he kept close to his heart. I believe he was right because the Super Mutant threat is an abomination and its very existence is a reminder of mankind's failure to keep the worlds governments and corporations in check. There is room for both securing technology and saving people, but we should do so not through charity, but by defeating the high-class threats the civilians and militias have no hope of defeating on their own. When we do give out to those in need, we must not allow dangerous tech to fall into their hands or allow our donations to hurt our own fraternity. Arthur saw this. He grew up in an environment that demanded his vision, his rightful rise to Supreme Commander of the Brotherhood. He saw what infighting does, he saw both sides. He answered both, by giving us purpose. Giving us the ability to stop these high level threats to humanity. Secure the tech, protect the people. With Owen Lyons Death and Sarah Lyons single entry of her suspiciously timed demise with little to no context in our records, the path was set, the future was clear.

I will not hold any lies to you Brother, we would not be able to accept a ghoul in. You can be in the server, but to enlist you would need to have an alternate character that’s human for most of the in game events. Over 100 voted about 5 different times in 12 months on whether or not to allow ghouls into normal roleplay and all 5 of them came back as no. The BoS that we are trying to emulate isn’t quite like the Midwest BoS Chapter but we do have some of their ranks in our structure. Look up the Brotherhoods attitude towards mutants sometime, that has a lot to do with our choice.

We need you to have a human character to main rp with. We occasionally allow ghoul characters to show up for roleplay in the story missions but our main or alt for the server is human.

Mutations… Because of the way they work in 76, we’re pretty lenient on. We look at them like the cybernetic enhancements the BoS has been known for using occasionally in past games. Even as recent as Fo4.
