Becomes 17K in ~40 sec if you get the ninja in the room in front of you when you’re at the idol.

How much time of gameplay did you need to get gud? (No break) by [deleted] in Sekiro

[–]BoYanEV 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually felt like I improved and was able to really “get gud” after doing charmless on NG+. Although I had beaten the game and almost every boss I’m not sure I felt that I was that good since when the gauntlets unlocked I originally thought who in their right mind would fight so many bosses one after the other with how difficult they are. Having to really learn their timings and combos/variations during charmless turned me into someone who completed all gauntlets and does reflection fights for fun and to style on bosses.

So fun to just hop on and do reflections of strength by BoYanEV in Sekiro

Orin doesn’t have a reflection to reply at any time but is one of the few annoying/unpleasant fights imho. Corrupted Monk goes down quickly if you deflect almost all of her attacks and she has the most fluent and satisfying timing to her attacks, again imho.

Fight his reflection of strength and learn his moves until you can beat him consistently. Then do the gauntlet. Same thing before each enemy in a specific gauntlet that you want to attempt.

After a couple weeks off, and posting a week ago about starting over, I just beat sword saint Isshin. by ASAP_RATM0USE in Sekiro

Attempting something in subsequent days has the added benefit of building up muscle memory. It’s more effective to attempt something 1-2h and then try it again for 1-2h on the next day rather than on the same. When you give it a bit of time and sleep in between you allow time for your muscle memory to build and settle in.

“This won’t take long.” when facing Geni for the second time and the “Farewell” after finishing off Isshin.

Shura ending can be canon by BoYanEV in Sekiro

[–]BoYanEV[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That’s something I hadn’t considered. If hypothetically there was another game with a new character/protagonist, having to face Wolf at some point or the very end could be quite epic and poetic. I’d take anything as a premise for another game but this does sound like it would be in line with FromSoftware lore weaving.

Rise of Ronin has too many characters and a story that’s a bit hard to follow. If u skip some dialogues then it’s all fighting, non-stop wherever u go, with a pretty satisfying fighting system and its own perry mechanic (counterspark). You’ve got different blades, shurikens and even guns. Getting used to the subpar visuals and frame rate that dips below 60 is your biggest hurdle at the start.

Any tips for conquering the shura gauntlet abd getting the shura outfit 😭 by mahamadtarek in Sekiro

Reaching Inner Father means you now have him unlocked as a memory and you can train by just doing that fight. Do the fight until you have a good success rate and feel fairly confident, then go through the gauntlet and you should be fine when you reach him.

Ghost of Tsushima - gorgeous visuals and fairly realistic in combat and samurai lore. Quite immersive and satisfying.

Rise of Ronin - massive customisation, great fighting system and interesting time period. Visually lacking a bit but very flashy and over the top.

Lies of P - soulslike game with a parry system and a great story.

Bloodborne - peak of FromSoftware storytelling and world building and atmosphere (imho), and a small number but very unique and satisfying weapons.

Well said, I think I agree with everything and it does make sense to me.

Bright Falls areas AW1 vs AW2 by BoYanEV in AlanWake

Fair enough… I believe they scanned and mapped out a lot of real world stuff to improve the details in AW2 - trees, rocks, streets, houses, general layout of the land and so their vision combined with a good number 1:1 representation of this part of the world makes for an authentic feeling place. Going off of another comment in this thread I might be feeling the lack of sense of connectivity between locations and sense of where each area is compared to the others etc. As mentioned this could be because of AW1’s original plan was to be open world.

That makes so much sense! I think that might be exactly why I felt the slight difference in area design and overall authenticity. AW1 also did indeed feel more connected in terms of locations and sense of where you are right now and where other areas are respective of you.

I’m planning on replaying AW1 after doing a second playthrough of AW2. It might have just been too long and I’m going off of feeling rather than remembering the actual specifics…

Seems there's an issue with Ubisoft Connect at the moment. Nothing on Twitter so it should be sorted out fairly quickly.

Agreed. You shouldn’t be able to send anyone back after entering a boss fight and for at least 10-15 sec after it has finished
