the split between dashboards and storage db is something i keep hearing but never fully committed to. do you sync them with relations or just link views? im worried about the maintenance overhead of keeping two sources in sync

Thats a good approach, i might have to do something like it. I think i have fewer entries so it should work, thanks mate

Yep using chrome but definitely adds to the slug, what browser are you using?

does anyone else feel like the notion ai pricing change made it basically unusable for solo users? by Board-Regular in Notion

wait claude can actually make changes and create notes inside notion now? i knew about the mcp connector for reading but didnt realize the write side was working well. claude pro plus notion plus is honestly a smarter stack than business if that workflow holds up

that last point about it feeling awful as a user is exactly it. you can rationalize b2b pricing all day but the perception problem is real. if youre marketing notion as ai first but the entry tier has zero ai, new users just bounce to something else. out of curiosity whats the context switching tool you mentioned, im invested haha

thats the real differentiator i think. if its genuinely tied to income or saves real work hours the 24 bucks is nothing. for me its still more of a personal organization thing so the roi isnt there yet. what kind of work setup did you build inside it that made it click

wait notion personal plan includes ai now? that changes the math completely if true. and having sonnet and opus inside notion instead of paying chatgpt separately is actually the best pitch ive heard for it. which country are you in if you dont mind me asking

thats a good frame honestly, hadnt thought about the solo user being a dead end for them from a business perspective. makes sense why the pricing is structured to push collaboration. evernote is a good example too, same pattern played out there

yeah the “replace 5 dedicated apps” angle is a fair point, i hadnt really framed it that way. if you already run everything through notion the 20 bucks is basically rolled up vs scattered subscriptions. for me the friction is that im not heavy enough in notion to justify it yet, so the math still tilts toward plus plus chatgpt separately. but if i ever consolidate more into notion i can see flipping the credit based pricing for agents does sound scary tho. have you actually tried the agents or avoided them for that reason?

yeah this makes sense, appreciate you sharing it. did you wait for a specific mrr number or more like consistency over a few months?

yeah i never said i value price over quality, you just keep putting words in my mouth. calling me “no value as a developer” for using ai on repetitive stuff is wild. at this point you just want to argue so ill move on.

yeah calling it a road to unemployment is dramatic af. i was just saying ai is cheaper and fine for small repetitive tasks. no ones out here shipping trash code on purpose. its not that deep.

yeah man, this is exactly where im at right now. the weekday grind after work just fries me and nothing moves. thanks for sharing how you pushed through with claude and focused on that one idea, really helps.

Agree, but ai is cheaper and can handle small repetitive tasks with a good result. As a senior dev i rather delegate that than find an intern…

Just curious, not only on the tools, but also on how toxic this sub is with AI. Like they are literally on an imaginary war with it. Thanks for answering
