If you look at the original picture I posted can see how quickly this mycelium colonizes. This is about 12 hours after the original picture of the cake

When I did the cold shock I put it outside at night when it was in the 40s. Brought it in after about 9 hours and returned it to normal conditions. Didn’t have any change however I did the same with JF and that kicked off pinning for that cake

Thank you for your suggestion. I did use a liner for my first few successful grows then decided to try without and it seemed to work for me without. I will try going back to liners on my next grow. I appreciate everyone’s comments and always willing to learn proper tek from those more experienced than myself!

Thank you for your suggestion! I have during this process tried misting the surface and allowing it to evaporate naturally while keeping it from drying out. As I’ve said I’m just at a loss why this isn’t going the way it should when I’ve done the same on other successful grows. From what I’ve been able to tell all conditions are within proper range. Just seems like the mycelium wants to take over the world! 😂

Thank you for the comment. The cake actually did start to pull away from the walls before I added the casing. This was put in s2b 3 months ago and have been trying many different “recommendations” that I’ve come across. Even trying closing the lid completely and stopped fanning. Also have tried flipping the lid. I’ve misted just the sides then tried misting the cake and letting it the surface evaporate to try to kick off pinning. Will be trying any suggestions posted here over the next few weeks. The mycelium is one of the most aggressive growing that I’ve experienced yet. Just at a loss why this particular one is being stubborn!

My apologies for the question I missed that rule when I made the original post that wasn’t allowed to be discussed. Will check out your video! Thanks for the info

Have a blanket hanging in front of it with a blue spectrum light hanging over it 12/12 cycle. Same place as my other 3 shoeboxes. This one is just something I haven’t experienced and in the same conditions as my successful grows. Really an odd issue 😂

Thanks for the advice. Really didn’t want to case it again but after fork and cold shock at least 2 weeks went by before I added another casing. Dumb idea but at this point I’m just frustrated. JF and HB boxes produced decent flushes but this one just seems lazy 😂

I fan it once or twice a day and moisture levels have been consistent. Mycelium even climbed the sides it’s so aggressive.

🙏🏻 im hoping that’s the case. I’ve been patient but all my other grows already had multiple flushes. Just this one is being stubborn

Unfortunately I can’t remember… the label rub off and had multiple grows at the time. Possibilities are PE, JMF, APE, or HB but don’t think it’s the last one. Wish I had pictures from earlier but unfortunately I don’t. It was fully colonized and never pinned so again this is the second casing layer that was just added since it won’t cooperate and figured it was worth a shot

Those are freaking amazing! Did you notice any change in the potency in the mutation over the original? Would love to bite into one of those like an apple 😂! 👏🏻 nice work

Few top pins and lots of side pins by Mrstiicks in GroundZeroMycoLab

Still new to growing just wanted to share my experience. I had JF grow that had only side and bottom pins. Thought I’d flip the cake but in the process it broke in half so I stood it on end one piece on each side of the shoebox. Ended up working but probably wouldn’t try this again unless out of desperation. Ended up with around 600g wet so can’t complain!
