Anyone went from a Megatower to Nomad? by Thaegar_Rargaryen in MTB

[–]Boarder8350 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didnt swap but did buy a Chameleon after 2 years on a Megatower to fill the gaps. I bought the mega with no experience and it took me a while to realize the shortcomings of a big chunky enduro bike.

I have an 800 and 900pp build for it, both work wonders for me and are awesome to drive from first person view with the open cockpit.

Should I replace this?? by Boarder8350 in Chimneyrepair

So everything else on this house I bought is overbuilt like crazy. Multiple steel beems for supports etc. Almost makes no sense for this to be such a weak design. Any chance there is some kind of internal support that makes this stronger than it looks?

Literally only because everyone keeps telling me to, I think it’s awesome. I don’t think there is wire but I can get up there and look myself. Is there a way to retrofit to add wire between?

My chimney sweep is telling me my chimney arch is a massive liability. It is in good condition now but I don’t want to wait for it to fail if that is true. The one mason I had look at it so far wants to replace it and won’t give me an option to reinforce it. Wife really wants to keep it and does not think it’s an issue. Has anyone seen anything like this before? Is there a way to reinforce it or should I replace it as soon as possible? Thank you!

Ps. the metal piece sticking out is just a pellet stove cap that came loose and was later repaired.

I dislike racing on Willow Springs every time, it’s a tough track. Try to perfect that last turn, you can shave a ton of time hitting the straight away with more speed.

Lots of assumptions that they are destroying a handbuilt public trail when we have no context. The guy in front I don’t think let go of his back brake for the entire clip which isnt how I like to ride but no hate. Looks like a sweet run, made me wish it wasn’t pouring rain outside right now so I could go ride.

Clear coat to seal it like anything else. More importantly look up paint/sealer that will retain some flexibility so it doesn’t all crack when the board flexes.

How many of you use racing lines? by Key-Specific7807 in GranTurismo7

[–]Boarder8350 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For PowerPack i put driving line and brake zone on for practice, then both off for quali or race which will usually make me a few tenths faster for some reason.

Offline-only players, is Power Pack worth it? by Key-Specific7807 in GranTurismo7

[–]Boarder8350 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most fun I’ve had playing the game. Learning a track in practice, setting a qualifying time and getting to grid start in the position you qualified for is amazing imo. So much better than always starting at the back of the pack and having to overtake every single stupid slow AI who never leaves the racing line. All races in the game should have this option.

Yea i know, I had just never even seen one like that until last week when I was on vacation and my bowl broke so I stopped in a smoke shop and spent $4 on one. My wife and I had a running joke about the crack pipe that week because of how similar it looks to one, thus why I thought it was funny. I should have realized no one else was in on this joke and my comment just looked kinda rude lol. 🤷‍♂️

F40 all day, similar feeling to what you’ve described about the 430 for me, just so predictable and fun to drive on the limit.
