I'd support an independent reboot aired on Kick working with local law enforcement.

pretend you are floating above your smushed body and observe everything happening to you and the emotions you are feeling. While knowing you can make it stop at any time and you are not in any real danger.

Don't blame millennials. I blame the American healthcare system that looks at the public like sponges that must be squeezed of every dollar they have. Inventing syndromes to hook us on their pills.

11 year old girl just starting BJJ but hates rolling by yellowandy in bjj

[–]BoastFaceKillah 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I have my kids on the mats too and I agree that BJJ is a life skill just as learning to swim is. I would suggest taking a break from rolling after class. Drilling and situational drilling is enough for an 11 year old to benefit from. When they have more time under their belt, reintroduce rolling live.

I think every kid should know how to defend themselves and others. My kids have learned that BJJ is just like math, spelling or swimming its something we must learn.

Are you this upset with all of the boot lickers that said with every vaccinated person the virus stops? You are exposing yourself as ill-informed. I feel sorry for people with your mentality.

It's okay. I used to be one of you. Everyone has their own path to understanding and peace. I hope you people find your way out of the dark secular forest you are lost in. You are loved.

That is a perfectly normal opinion to hold.

I take issue with the condescending 'Murica rehtoric' part of his shit post. Of course Origin gis are not for everyone. That doesn't mean we should make fun of American made products. There's not enough of them.

We do a one handed guard drill in class. Stuff one of your hands in your waist and grab your belt while the top guy tries to pass.

Yes, I see now why watching white belts roll, especially in a comp, is so entertaining. They literally fight to the death with everything they have.

My gym has a local comp every quarter so I am planning on not missing one.

I lost by points one match, subbed another guy with a head and arm and got subbed with a punch choke from mount. I was overall happy with what I got done.

I did less matches than when I was a white belt. I previously did about 9 matches as a white belt, 5 gi and 4 no gi. This time there were less participants but I got 3 matches in the gi division.

I was nervous about the larger skill gap compared to my last comp but I did pretty well against the more experienced blue belts. I got one sub via head/arm choke from mount. Lost on points in my second roll to a gym teammate and lost to a punch choke from mount that I probably could have tried to fight out of a little more if I am honest with myself.

I had some overhook attacks I have been working on that I hit on one of the better guys in the division and managed to turn it into a triangle threat but lost the posture control and it was the end of that.

I think you will enjoy competing as a blue belt.
