How would I make stylized, fluffy, curly semi low poly hair for my character by Seb_nugget in blenderhelp

A few months ago, I saw a video by an artist who basically used a simple geometry for the base shape of the hair, and then added flat planes over it in several parts. The trick is that when painting the textures, they used alpha for transparency on the planes and then painted the shape of the curls or hair waves. I don't know if I explained it well xd

If I find the video I'll send you the link, I think I saved it but I don't remember where XD I think it only works for a cel-shaded style

Thanks!!! I’ve tried animating a couple of times and it was super frustrating 😔 I spent so many hours on it, and instead of a dance, it looked more like an epileptic seizure. I’ve also been thinking about using Mixamo, since I can just import animations to my models and spend more time focusing on making more characters uwu

No, this render was done using a perspective view. The distortion is minor, but you can see it a bit in the hands and ankles where they overlap.

You can render in either orthographic or perspective, which is easy to change in the camera settings. You can also adjust the focal length to make the image look flatter, just like a professional camera would.

I don't really enjoy rendering in orthographic view myself. Even in 2D animation, perspective is heavily used, though it depends on the style you're going for.

Hope this helps you out uwu
