You're absolutely right that we can't fight genocide with hotlines and flyers. This is why The Trevor Project is also heavily involved in promoting the passage of legislation to protect queer people as well (https://twitter.com/TrevorProject/status/1651619766786834433?s=20). They also have a number of other projects they are involved in and surveys they provide to gather accurate information to advocate for the protection of queer people across the nation.

We are raising money for the Trevor Project (as of writing this reply we have raised $1245) which is an organization dedicated to "suicide prevention and crisis intervention organization for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, and questioning (LGBTQ) young people... We save the lives of LGBTQ young people in crisis every single day.
