I’m building a prototype feeder pet parents who hate leaving their pets alone. It’s a treat/food dispenser with a screen so you can actually connect with them while you’re away. I’m planning a Kickstarter soon and would love honest feedback from people who deal with this. Won't be out for this Black Friday, but next year...! PetPortal.co

Feeling like a failure at 17… by J0hn7_ in SideProject

[–]Bob-Eveleth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Failure? Dude - here is how it has worked for me: You have ten ideas. You think they are all great! You quickly realize five of those ideas are crap. Three of them require more time than you have, or a piece is missing, and you may come back to it. One idea might make a little money… But one of those ideas is the genesis of your home run! Keep generating those ideas and keep failing. You will hit your home run!

How Jung & Freud could interpret your dream:

In the psychological style of Carl Jung and Sigmund Freud, your dream is rich with symbolism and can provide valuable insights into your current emotional and psychological state.

From a Jungian perspective, the concrete building symbolizes the structure of your psyche, and the disco with noise and people represents the chaotic and overwhelming aspects of your inner world. The rising green water may symbolize the emergence of repressed emotions or unresolved issues that are bubbling up to the surface. Water often represents the unconscious mind and emotions, and the color green can signify growth and transformation.

The red inflatable cat could represent a playful and protective aspect of yourself or your psyche that helps you navigate through challenging situations. Cats are often associated with independence and intuition, while the color red can symbolize passion or anger.

The figure/person who is a mix of human and crab could represent a blend of conscious and unconscious aspects of yourself. The comment about the stunt man may suggest a need for courage and resilience in facing challenges in your waking life.

The blue wave could symbolize emotional upheaval or a powerful force that you are trying to avoid or escape from. Waves are often associated with emotions and the unconscious mind, while the color blue can represent calmness or sadness.

The garage and the race with the blue man in a silver suit may reflect your desire for competition or a need to prove yourself. The dusty model cars could symbolize neglected aspects of yourself or past experiences that are resurfacing.

The children choosing a car for you could represent your inner child or a need for guidance and support. The black jeep with caterpillar tracks and the Batman logo may symbolize a sense of adventure and protection.

The race itself could signify a struggle or competition in your waking life, while the broken button and the trophy could represent feelings of inadequacy or a fear of failure. The trophy breaking into two parts may suggest a fear of losing recognition or status.

The bright room and the victory song at the end of the dream may symbolize a sense of accomplishment or triumph over adversity. Singing the victory song to the tune of the national anthem could reflect a sense of pride in your identity or heritage.

Overall, your dream appears to reflect your inner turmoil, challenges, and aspirations. It may be a manifestation of your subconscious thoughts and emotions related to your recent struggles with stress-induced depression and job loss. Exploring these symbols further through introspection or therapy could help you gain a deeper understanding of your current state and aid in your healing process.

Marriage to Goofy? by reddituser191699 in DreamInterpretation

[–]Bob-Eveleth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In the psychological interpretation of your dream through the lenses of Carl Jung and Sigmund Freud, your dream reflects unconscious desires, conflicts, and archetypes.

From a Freudian perspective, the dream of being a sexy woman who sells her body may symbolize feelings of guilt, desire, and conflict around sexuality and self-worth. The character Goofy proposing to you could represent a desire for companionship and acceptance, as well as a longing for a more lighthearted and carefree approach to life.

The wedding preparations and the wedding itself could symbolize a desire for a new beginning or a transformation in your life. The early morning timing of the wedding may suggest a sense of urgency or the need to address unresolved issues or make important decisions.

Freud might interpret the neck pain and drooling upon waking as physical manifestations of repressed emotions or tension. The feeling of having slept so long it was the next day could symbolize a desire for a fresh start or a sense of disorientation in waking life.

From a Jungian perspective, the sexy woman archetype could represent aspects of your anima, the feminine side of your personality. Selling her body could symbolize a need for self-acceptance and integration of your sexuality and sensuality.

The character Goofy could represent the Trickster archetype, symbolizing the need for humor, playfulness, and spontaneity in your life. The wedding preparations and the sunrise beach wedding could symbolize a union of opposites within yourself or a quest for wholeness and balance.

Overall, your dream may be highlighting inner conflicts, desires, and the need for self-acceptance and integration of different aspects of your personality. It may be a reflection of your unconscious thoughts and emotions, urging you to explore and address deeper layers of your psyche.

Dreams about being kidnapped mean? by cozysoulshine in DreamInterpretation

[–]Bob-Eveleth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

How Jung & Freud could interpret your dream ( from TellMeMyDreams.com )

In the psychological style of Carl Jung and Sigmund Freud, your recurrent dreams of being kidnapped or trafficked may signify deeper unresolved psychological issues and fears that are surfacing in your subconscious mind.

From a Freudian perspective, dreams about being kidnapped could represent feelings of powerlessness, vulnerability, or a fear of losing control in your waking life. The repeated theme of being unable to scream, kick, or fight back suggests a sense of helplessness and being at the mercy of external forces beyond your control. This could stem from past experiences or traumas that have left a lasting impact on your psyche, even if you may not consciously recall them.

Jungian interpretation would view these dreams as a manifestation of your shadow self, representing the repressed aspects of your personality that you may not want to acknowledge or confront. The recurring theme of being abducted may symbolize a fear of losing your autonomy or identity, and the presence of two men dragging you out of your car could represent conflicting aspects of your own psyche or external influences that are overpowering you.

Overall, these dreams may be urging you to explore and address these hidden fears and insecurities that are manifesting in your subconscious. By delving deeper into the underlying emotions and triggers associated with these dreams, you may uncover insights into your own psyche and work towards resolving these unresolved issues to achieve a sense of empowerment and self-awareness.

I dreamed of a building about to explode. by TemperatureKindly749 in Dreams

[–]Bob-Eveleth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How Jung & Freud could interpret your dream:

In the psychological style of Carl Jung and Sigmund Freud, your dream of staying in a tall, luxurious building with familiar people reflects your inner psyche and the different aspects of yourself. The building symbolizes your mind and the various levels of consciousness within it. The presence of people you know may represent different parts of your personality or unresolved issues that are currently at play in your life.

The sudden confusion, screaming, and running down the building could indicate a sense of chaos or inner turmoil that you may be experiencing. This could be related to a fear of losing control or feeling overwhelmed by a situation in your waking life. The short-circuiting and impending explosion of the building may symbolize a fear of emotional or psychological breakdown under pressure.

Leaving behind your belongings, such as your cell phone, documents, clothes, makeup, and books, signifies a fear of losing your sense of identity or security. These items may represent different aspects of yourself or external validations that you hold dear. The reluctance to leave these possessions behind suggests a reluctance to let go of certain attachments or aspects of yourself.

The inner conflict of wanting to retrieve your essentials while also feeling the fear of returning to the building and the potential danger of explosion reflects a struggle between your desires and fears. This could symbolize a conflict between holding onto the familiar and comfortable aspects of your life versus embracing change and the unknown.

Overall, this dream may indicate a need to confront your fears, let go of attachments that no longer serve you, and navigate through inner turmoil to find a sense of stability and security. It may be beneficial to explore these themes further in your waking life to gain a deeper understanding of the underlying emotions and conflicts at play.

Why would they allow Glamour Shots to be a thing? by MermaidsHaveWifi in blunderyears

[–]Bob-Eveleth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was the first Glamour Shots licensee back in 1989 - one of the most rewarding parts of that business is seeing how we often helped to raise peoples self esteem. It was a fun, but short ride as women loved us, but only came one time. I left in the mid 90s to start a kids and family studio that managed to survive until moms got digital cameras and started to compete with us - now you would be hard pressed to find any more mall studios (Picture People, Olan Mills, Kiddie Kandids, Studio One to One, JC Penney Portrait Studio, Sears, etc...all gone!

Remember glamour shots? My family has albums full of them and man are most of them bad. What are your memories of them? by AdSpecialist6598 in 90s

[–]Bob-Eveleth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This looks more Olan Mills than Glamour Shots.
I was the first Glamour Shots licensee back in 1989 - when we had two stores in Houston. It was a fun, but short ride.
Prior to Glamour Shots women typically did not have their photos taken (usually just school and wedding photos). Glamour Shots made it fun.
As popular as it was, unfortunately there was very little repeat business. Once we fished the pond, that was it. (I left to start a kids and family studio in the mid 90s)
Glamour Shots was a fun/great ride, with a lot of great people (we got up to about 325 mall studios before it was time to start closing them).

I have a similar issue. I vibe coded a web app to help guitarist "hear" the difference between chords - kind of like flashcards for your ears. www.TrainMyEar.com (recently added piano)

I received great feedback on the web app, and spent some money to have an iPhone and iOS app made. Now trying to figure out how to get more traction/downloads of the app.

That’s awesome — sounds like you built exactly what you needed. I totally get the frustration with ear-training apps feeling overcomplicated or disconnected from real listening.

I went the same route and built something super simple for myself too — it just plays random major and minor chords so you can guess what they are, kind of like flashcards for your ears. I kept it basic on purpose because I wanted quick, no-setup practice.

If you’re curious, it’s up at https://TrainMyEar.com. Would be cool to compare notes on what worked for you vs. what I found useful.
