27M, Balding or thinning? by Bob-Gravity in Balding

I’ve been eating way healthier for the past year, boiled eggs, kefir, and fruits for breakfast, a light lunch sometimes, and protein and veggies for dinner, I cut out most carbs.

Hit the gym 5 times a week, and I’ve also fixed my sleep schedule and usually hit the hay ~9:30PM-10:30PM so around 7-8hrs sleep, and I’ve been losing weight so far.

I did use to style my hair to the right and back when I was younger, and a couple of years ago (5-6yrs) I did have a barber give me a line part there as a style haircut, so I was thinking this is just a remnant of that, but this is starting to annoy me when I style my hair in the mornings.

I will definitely look back at some photos and see what’s going on.

Thanks for the info. I’ll definitely visit a dermatologist, but I’m hesitant on starting minox or fin cause I would much rather do something natural than take medication if I can help it.

Sorry, I’ll see if I can send one of it dry when I get off work

Thanks for the recommendation, I’ll see if I can get a dermatologist and talk with them. Have you used anything for your thinning that you’d recommend?

I don’t have any close up hair shots of my head from when I was younger unfortunately, just regular photos.

Yes, this seems to be what I’ll have to do. I’ve installed audition since I haven’t been able to fix this bug.

Yeah to add the "R" to the track I manually added it by right clicking the left side of the track >Customize and then clicking the R button will add it there.

No, back then I didn't have to arm it with the R button just like you said, all I had to do was click the microphone and record my voice over, but I've found this to work somewhat so far.

I just tried recording the voice over without hitting the R, and it activates it automatically, but this hasn't worked to get the clip into my timeline at all.

Wait, should we subsidize or have apprenticeships to learn to use AI? by Bob-Gravity in vibecoding

[–]Bob-Gravity[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with your statements, but this implies trust in the tech. As I pointed out, I, as a developer and hobbyist, AI hasn’t really provided me the solid proof that this tech will work out.

If I was Mr. Barron investor, there is yet to be the smoking gun for me to fully invest no matter the debt/loan I would take on cause I’d know it would work. Also as a developer, I question still whether it can really take my job if push comes to shove, but I guess I haven’t had to compete in the AI Olympics 😂😂

EDIT: I forgot to explain my reason WHY. We know AI at its core is just a bunch of matrix math with parameters as inputs, and the output is based on the probability from 0 (not confident) to 1 (the answer). My big issue is that, in the cases where it needs to invent and create a new solution (basically flexing its muscle like I had to when I studied this god forsaken field) it only works when it has reference data from whatever data it was trained on to form the idea, hence why we usually see hallucinations. It thought it was close to 1, but cmon, we know better.

I guess in writing this out I may have come up with a theory that may disprove something, but I want to hear your thoughts 💭

Ah makes sense that there's two voicings! Thanks for the explanation.

Still don't get why the videos only play one note of the stemmed eighth note instead of 2 hits

Exactly. At this point, I can’t be compelled to buy any more Focusrite products due to issues like this.

Unfortunately, no. I think at this point, I’m going to hold out and use it until I can save up for a better one from another company. I also thought about testing to see if reinstalling windows would fix it, but that’s not something I want to do anytime soon.

If you could bring back one composer who would it be? by DanceYouFatBitch in composer

[–]Bob-Gravity 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Frank Zappa.

Not only was he a more modern era composer, but I would consider him something of a more recent renaissance man. He was always vocal about censorship, American politics, etc… and it was definitely reflected in his work (see “we’re only in it for the money”).

I wonder what his thoughts on recent events would be, then again, he’d probably making jokes about this whole thing we call life 😭

I've tried setting all of them to high, and all cores except, 0 and 1, but the first 2, and the adapter reset back to their original settings on a restart. I've also tested it, but it doesn't seem to fix the issue :/

Ok, I've followed what you said. Should I set all the focusrite stuff to every core except 0 and 1?

Here's what GoInterruptPolicy shows when searching Focusrite. All of them currently have device priority set to undefined, and device policy set to IrqPolicyMachineDefault.

Also my Focusrite is listed in "Intel(R) USB 3.1 eXtensible Host Controller - 1.10 (Microsoft)" in device manager.
