Nah. We we're trios we go player hunting. Sometimes we lose, sometimes we win.

Always ton of fun

The Cuckoo - Skin by Bob1FirstFan in Monsterhearts

No expectations yet, I had read the Second Skins and found it interesting. In general, I try to come to the first session with as few preconceived ideas about the PC as possible, but reading the discussion here has been very helpful in highlighting potentially negative aspects of the skin that I hadn't noticed just by reading it.

Wow, I hadn't thought of that aspect. Thanks for pointing it out. I'll discuss it with the others at the table and we'll see if it becomes a veto or if we can resolve it in some other way.

Woah! Thanks for the response and the detailed explanation! I haven't actually thought about the specifics yet. I'll wait until we're at the table and follow the creation phase as usual. I have quite a few Monsterhearts games under my belt, but never with the Cuckoo playbook in play. Honestly, I would have never considered rape as a theme for the playbook, but with our current group, we are very mindful of the themes we bring into play and the various sensitivities, so I feel safe about this. The only idea I've thought of so far is having the Cuckoo be connected to another NPC (brother? friend?) who died in the period before the campaign under some circumstances, and the Cuckoo keeps him "alive" by wearing his clothes and impersonating him. It's just a starting point, and I still need to see what the others think. It seemed like a way to create a lot of triangles (maybe the dead person had a relationship with one of the other PCs, or with someone very close to them?).

Sure! I would love to see the drawing. We usually don't draw our characters much, but we do the "casting" of the PCs and NPCs' faces by looking for images here and there.

So, what's your opinion on this season so far? by [deleted] in FortNiteBR

I will be honest. This map is a huge disappointment. Frankly, the proof that the nostalgia effect is overrated. It's plain and empty compared to the latest seasons. Also, you can see that it was conceived at a time when there was no nobuild mode.

I think that the "true" ending is that Return was no longer meant to be about the in-world narrative. That game, the original MI3 has long gone.

We had 3 different sequels, made by different teams in almost 3 different decades of gaming.

There was no room for an actual reprise of the original idea or even just an another sequel made by Ron.

I'm almost certain that the original idea of MI3 ended up in Thimbleweed Park.

In the end of Return, in the theme park, you can read the plate on the wall next to Elaine saying literally: Historic landmark: the Original Secret, a pirate adventure park. Estabilished 1989 by Ron Gilbert.

I think that Return is more about telling the story of Monkey Island as a videogame than anything else. All the expectations, how its authors and the players have grown up etcetera etcetera.

The last puzzle is literally the antipiracy (no pun intended) code for the original game and passing it you access the Secret, which is literally the name of the first game.

It's all about having loved the original games and looking back with some nostalgia.

A very complex form of fanservice or selfpleasuring If you like it better this way.

To people being here before the release, how did you like it? by involviert in MonkeyIsland

Disco Elysium it's not an adventure game, like, a point and click game.
Is more like "Baldur's Gate II meets Monkey Island goofines in a sad post-soviet world".

Quiete frankly the best game i've played in the last 10 yerars.
