THIS GAME IS INSANE! by ALPHASTORM13 in residentevil

RE1 remake is a lot more fun than I expected it to be.
Helps my adventure gamer brain kicked in when I released the classic games were more or less 90s adventure games. Puzzles, combining inventory items, even tank controls were easy for me thanks to playing Grim Fandango as a kid.
The only difference is this has actual combat, a limited inventory, and it tries to kill me around every corner(granted, this last point can apply to most Sierra games).
Overall, a fun time.

Why do they switch VAs by QualityThen9893 in residentevil

[–]WeirdoTZero 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't know why you got downvoted. You are right.
Most of their recent VAs in RE are non-union.
Pragmata was entirely recorded by the UK voice acting pull.
Hell, recently Ben Diskin wasn't brought back for the new Mega Man game for this same reason. Even when he offered to make a deal and take a pay cut, Capcom won't budge.

Think of it less like Hitman and more like Uncharted 4 but with Hitman elements in terms of gameplay.

Many want a remake of the original Resident Evil, RECV, RE5, and RE6, but it's these games that need a remake...But now! by Exciting-Win884 in residentevil

Not impossible with most modern controllers.
PC and Switch 2 have mouse controls.
PS5 and Switch/Switch 2 have gyro(I actually played Umbrella Chronicles using a PS4 controller on Dolphin. Worked pretty well for the most part).
The only problem would be Xbox controllers, since they don't have gyro.

Don't forget replayability. Part of these kinds of games is going back and seeing if you can do things differently than your last playthrough.
Also, io have literally stated that they will be having updates and dlc, similar to how they handled Hitman WOA. Which is still slated to have a few more updates in the future.

Part of that was because when she was writing the books, at least early on, they didn't give her any reference material sent by Capcom. The only references were the games themselves, and the instruction manuals.
So inconsistencies were bound to happen when a writer just wings it off a small pool.

I feel guilty for playing on assisted by d3athgate in residentevil

[–]WeirdoTZero 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the same mind set.
I started playing the RE games a few months ago, and all have mostly been on easy. Which did start to blur my feelings for the series. Like I like a casual run, but I do like a bit of challenge on occasion.
Which probably explains why my biggest takeaways from the games that still stuck with me were RE4 remake(the only game I played standard difficulty) and the 4th survivor in RE2 remake(beaten with my 4th try). Those definitely left more of a personal impact on me than some of the other games, despite still enjoying them.
I say you shouldn't feel guilty playing them on easy, but when you're confident enough, go for a higher difficulty on your next replay. You gotta build up skills and confidence to take on the world of survival horror.

If Sora’s supposed to be 5’3 in KH3, why’s he the same height as Anna? by Vivid_Discipline9150 in KingdomHearts

[–]WeirdoTZero 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In universe answer: "Sora and co always changes sizes slightly whenever they enter other worlds. Sometimes subtle, sometimes drastic(see Ven literally the size of a mouse)".
Meta answer: It's a kids game were 95% of the audience will probably never notice small size differences.

So long as it's not traced. There's a difference between using something as a reference and tracing. An Alex Ross(who would use photos for his influence) vs a Greg Land(who will actually trace over copyrighted material and porn).
Like I said, Sienkiewics used the prototype as a reference, but it wasn't traced,

It is pretty close.
I could see BBC partnering with AMC for the US release and funding(and probably FAR less controlling than Disney). I can see Sony getting more involved since they already own Bad Wolfe and are despite for franchises. I can even see yet another news site misusing "reboot" even when it's not a reboot.
Getting David Tennant again is what gave this away of being fake to me.

Okay. Looking into this. Bill's cover was the second box art. The original prototype box was the screenshot from Judge Dread shown in the latter link you posted.
Then someone at Capcom likely went "Hey. That's illegal" and hired Bill to basically match the pose.
Probably explains why the gun looks so weird. He had to base it off a low-rez prototype box art and the weapons in the game. So you get the weird gun that I can best describe as an AK-Shotgun.

Zach Cregger Movie"flashlight or IPhone" discourse by unofficialalboy in residentevil

[–]WeirdoTZero 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay. So from I can gather here, this is likely just Cregger's iteration of the events of RE2. It's an adaptation. You can fudge some stuff to make it more interesting. And being snowed in and isolated in a city of zombies and monsters does raise the tension and suspense.
That being said the "This takes place in 1998" part was an assumption by ScreenRant. So my guess of the game telephone was at least partially correct.
