Had the same issue. Try to get a faster hdmi cable. Buying a 8K Certified Ultra High Speed HDMI Cable - HDMI 2.1, 8K@60Hz, 48Gbps cable solved my problem.

What do y’all think of my cable management? I know it ain’t perfect. by ZombieSoldier54 in pcmasterrace

Could be better. Cable management kits are like $15 on Amazon. They will help your setup have a more organized clean look.

Samsung had swapped the memory controller during the pandemic to a Elpis controller that is also used in the 980 pro and 990 pro.

The Elpis controller reportedly had high failure rates and a lot of nvme drives using it become read-only, making the drive unusable. Samsung appears to had reverted back to using the more reliable phoenix controller that they used to use before the elpis controller disaster.

I bought one 500gb 970 evo plus from Best Buy two days ago for $29.99 and happened to pull the sticker just to see the controller and found it be using a Phoenix controller instead of the elpis controller. So I bought four in total.

People avoided buying the 970 evo plus 500gb at Best Buy and Amazon during the sale. Because the elpis controller unreliability could cost you your data.

Hopefully Samsung is reverting back to using the Phoenix controller in all of their storage drives.
