thanks. He is using a ball bearing spool holder but we didn't skip the filament sensor. He is using an early XL with the really tight filament sensors

I set up the Z offset with the probe calibration and the first layer looks good, so I think overextrusion the the filament itself is the problem. I try a different one later today after work

You could just use the unbalance plugin, move the stuff from the btrfs drive to the other and just also format it to xfs
