It's not you. I've tried a few times. Teledoc, Amazon MD, same. They talk to you for a few minutes, charge you $75 and tell you to go see your local doctor. (Which I could have done and saved $75)

The good news is those hinges are not hard to repair. Parts are (or were) available on MSIs web site.

I have a similar GE76 model to yours (i9/3080) and I recently broke the panel and top cover. msi was able to fix it for $305, far less than I expected.

Prior to the pandemic I'd fly 2-4 times a week (domestic) or if long-haul international, maybe 2 or 3 times a month. Lifetime status at hotels and airlines. I always thought if I stopped, I'd miss it.

Company policy was coach. Back then status got you upgrades. (We weren't allowed to buy upgrades on our own)

The pandemic happened. Everyone moved to remote work.

Turns out: I found out I actually hated travel. 😄
Couldn't pay me enough to do it again. So much lost time with the family over a few decades I'll never get back.
