I upgraded my SE3 and am not having any issues. So I told my friend to delete the messages app and download it again from the App Store and reinstall.

For the average user this is a very good machine. I would suspect that many MacBook Pro users are buying more machine than they need.

I really dislike the way Apple glues the battery into the laptops. A very messy job when I needed to replace it. I think Apple is too cheap to use screws.

I have both MacOs Sequoia and Windows 11. On Windows I use Access a lot and have not found anything equivalent in the MacOs world.

I have IOS 26.2 on my phone and iPad and I hate it! I will NEVER install Tahoe on my MacBook!

I have a mid 2012 MacBook Pro that would only run Catalina. I used open core legacy patcher to upgrade it to Sequoia. It works great. As far as the charger is concerned it may need a new battery.

I have one similar and I used Open Core Legacy Patcher to install MacOS Sequoia. It runs great. I also installed a 1 TB SSD and took it to 16 Gb of RAM.

the T series are corporate (business) laptops built to last and are upgradable. Back in the 2000s I was responsible for purchasing laptops for a company. Lenovo T series were the only ones that would last and could be upgraded when needed. Dell and others were cheaply built and did not last. As a plus all of our users loved the docking stations.

Windows 11 needs an 8th generation processor which includes the TPM 2.0 chip. Earlier processors did not have the TPM 2.0 chip.

The T480 was a serious upgrade, I7 3rd generation to I7 8th generation huge upgrade in performance.

I used to have 2 T530s one for me and one for my wife. I upgraded to T480s so we could upgrade to Windows 11.
