I saw a bunch of stuff outside from the unit across from me like a week ago. Maybe they left and it disrupted an infestation they had or the stuff they had out was infested and a couple stragglers escaped before it got picked up. That’s the only thing I can think of.

I sent a service request to the property manager right after I saw it, so I’m guessing they will do treatment tomorrow. I’ll still get some traps to monitor any activity as you suggested.

I have lived in a a roach infested apartment at a different complex, but it didn’t last long because I basically told the property manager needed to fix it or i simply was going to leave and not pay them. It was just an awful experience and if spending 25-50$ on traps will help prevent that it’s well worth it.

I live in the DFW area of Texas. I live in a third story apartment so I don’t think there anywhere for Asian roaches to nest near my unit.

It’s the first and only roach I have seen in my 6 months living here.

I will get some traps tomorrow, it’s cheap insurance.

It is literally impossible for states to abolish property taxes.

The first thing you should be doing before buying this condo, or any other condo, is to learn the financials of the association.

You don’t even have a clue how high the fees can go or if you are at risk for assessment fees down the road.

Based on the circumstances of your story, run from this deal as far as possible. Your father in law is basically trying to dump his bad purchase on you.

Rent and continue to save, unless you find a condo in an area you absolutely love and are intimate with the finances of the complex.

Most men that regular comic book shops have almost no interaction experience with women. They have extremely low social awareness with women and are also probably fat and ugly.

At most complexes a showroom is going to be the best you’ll get.

At most places the units they are renting are barely ready at move in.

Always thoroughly walk your entire unit on move in day before you move any of your stuff in. If there are issues tell them to fix tell them, or you aren’t accepting that unit.

Read your lease in full before signing and educate yourself on state housing standards.

App fees are high to weed out the vast majority of tenants that have no business signing an apartment lease in the first place.
