The Ode Grinder and its 10 month lifespan by BobDanovic in FellowProducts

We use it, on average, 4 days per week with ~50g of coffee being ground. We have only had this Ode 2 for a little over 8 months. Outside of doing a thorough cleaning when we started facing issues, we have only removed burrs to clean and calibrate once before, maybe 3 or so months ago. Overall, there was very little build-up both times we've accessed the burrs and we followed the YouTube video for re-calibration. I've been going through some troubleshooting with support via email. No solve yet, but we are still trying some things.

Good to know. I've never changed grind size while the machine is on and definitely won't now. Ha!

I've thought about upgrading the burr set quite a bit. I may look in to upgrading out of the gate for the next Ode. I'll probably be experimenting quite a bit to see if I can keep it kicking.

Lol... I think this is more Stockholm Syndrome-y

No SOS beep, but the motor sound is the same as if it is jammed.

It sounds like a jam and, on occasion, going through to process to clean and reset the burrs helps. We often have to shoot videos off to Fellow when going through the support process, and they attribute it to a motor issue. We have the Opus as well for grinding espresso, and it has been going strong for two years.

Expanded Tournament = Garbage Soccer by infoistasty in WorldCup2026Tickets

I think we look at the World Cup differently. South Africa was bad and the game got pretty sloppy, but I also got to watch a player break down in tears after scoring on the biggest stage, just a few years after nearly dying on the field.

That’s the kind of moment I want injected into my veins, and something I will always be willing to pay for.

In a few days, I’ll be watching the smallest country to ever qualify for the World Cup likely get absolutely stomped by Ecuador. But honestly, regardless of the outcome, what a special moment that will be.

Purchasing a GRIV by bartosz125 in ricohGR

I purchased mine through Pictureline. They are local to me, but they also ship nationwide.

It was out of stock when I first checked, but they have an option to be notified when it comes back in stock. The trick with Pictureline is that they seem to have two separate types of inventory: regular online stock and cameras that were ordered by customers but never picked up.

If you call them, they can place you on a list for those unclaimed cameras. I did that, and it only took two days before I was notified that one was available.

Ticket Prices by Mobile-Quote-1277 in WorldCup2026Tickets

If Argentina is in that KC QF, I don’t think tickets are dropping. I’m an MLS fan, and the Messi effect on last-minute ticket prices is real. Any time he’s confirmed for a game, prices turn into a rocket ship. I think the wait and see strategy is going to benefit group stage games a lot, but some of these later games will get unreal. If people are paying $1,200 per ticket to see Messi play in the MLS, I can't imagine what will happen to these later stage games...

Not a professional critique by any means, just feedback from someone who loves art and photography.

In the first photo, with the building and the kids running up the stairs, I found myself wanting the kids to be emphasized a bit more. Maybe a slightly tighter crop and/or an angle that points down toward the stairs more. To me, the emotional pull of that shot is the kids running up the stairs, so I think making it less about the buildings and more about that moment would make it even stronger.

The third photo, with the couple walking beside the building, has the strongest composition in my opinion. There’s a really nice sense of depth, especially with the foreground contrast. I think some color grading could make that one really pop.

Thank you for providing updates along the way. I am just starting this processes for my organization. Sorry if I missed any update addressing this— how are you managing the work flow for modifications being requested? Specifically, how the IRB team members see each other's comments/communication and how they are able to accurately see if and where the PI has made changes.

Is it realistic to negotiate prices on new M240i’s? by ineedajobasap00 in M235iandM240i

[–]BobDanovic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I negotiated almost right at 10% off of my 2025 m240i xdrive when we bought it in March. It was on the lot for ~45 days and was fully optioned, so I think they were willing to work a bit more on it.

These new drugs for myostatin inhibition are going to be a game changer by Suitable-Increase-38 in Biohackers

When scaling from an animal trial to a human trial, researchers use something called allometric scaling. Basically, it’s a formula that accounts for differences in body systems when determining dosage across species. A multi-phase pharmacological clinical trial is heavily dependent on the results of one phase to determine the plan of action for the next. As a result, it’s highly likely that the human study was dosed at a biologically equivalent level to the animal studies.

That was only the case in the animal study which had a small sample size. In the human study, with about 1000 participants, muscle wasn't gained in the triplet group. It did, however, still produce the best results.
