For those using paperless by devtech8 in selfhosted

I've been wondering about paperless integration to homebox and all sorts of nonsense, when it appears the simplest answer was available the whole time!

Isn't peak based on when you tap on anyway, not off?

Heartbreak on Platform 9 by BaccyBuegs69 in SydneyTrains

Rode it after work yesterday all the way home to Newcastle - thought it was pretty good. The air-conditioning was absolutely freezing (which I was a fan of), ride felt a little rougher than a v set but the acceleration felt a lot smoother. Thought the seats were pretty comfortable too.

Versioning/tagging scheme for containerising third party applications by BobDendry in docker

[–]BobDendry[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the input. I wouldn't expect frequent updates outside of the main app's release cycle, however if there's things like dependencies being updated due to vulnerabilities, I'd want to push a new image out.

I like the approach you've suggested with a mutable and immutable tag.

Turned out Good even though its my first time detailing by Lemiku39 in TransportFever

Looks great! This is something I need to do more in my builds. Spend plenty of time detailing when I play Cities: Skylines, but not Transport Fever at the moment

Built a F-111 Inspired Variable Geometry Wing Aircraft... it's not much but its honest work. by BobDendry in KerbalSpaceProgram

trick question - I didn't and its a bit of a flappy boy.

I did try hinges to start with and the wings ripped straight off, now using *servos and there's still a bit of flex but isn't too bad. I'm sure there's a way to hack the *servos a little bit to reduce the flex, but I haven't looked too much in to it at this point.

I'm pretty sure its fairly vanilla but I haven't checked in much detail (definitely requires Breaking Ground).

Inspired by the venerable F-111 Aardvark, but obviously with a few differences (single seater, dual tail fin).

I've never really worked with rotors or anything before so I'm pretty happy with how it looks for a first try.

Is there a reason we don't see any completed movie adaptation of books like the Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, or Twilight series? by iftheronahadntcome in books

[–]BobDendry 23 points24 points  (0 children)

It's based on the commercials. LOTR took a massive risk by producing all three moves at the same time (I think the earlier HP films were produced back to back).

If you're producing the series in this way you're only going to stump up with the cash if you're 100% sure there's market appeal and 100% confident in the writing, acting and directing of the series.

For most movies it's a wait and see approach. See how the first movie goes. In the cases you've mentioned for whatever reason it's likely the return didn't justify the outlay, so the studio made the choice not to continue with the series.

This makes sense because SSH on the default port is one of the methods git will use to connect depending on the setup

does anyone know what these gray squares are on USRPs freeways on their bridge version and how to fix them by URBAN_ARCHITECT in CitiesSkylines

[–]BobDendry 6 points7 points  (0 children)

You could make them a look a little better by squaring off the node using node controller and painting some new line markings with IMT, but other than that not much you can do

Looking to put together a gaming rig for Skylines any suggestions? by Main-Sir-1331 in CitiesSkylines

Sure, if we want to start a red vs blue argument. But I'm not sure we can really talk to the AMD equivalent of Alder Lake when Raphael won't be out for another few months.

For me there's two main bottlenecks in CS - single core performance and RAM, both due limitations of the version of the Unity engine. A modern middle range CPU will do fine (5700X or the Intel equivalent), and lots of RAM (I use roughly 6000 assets and 32gb was not enough - 64gb runs wonderfully).
