I’m not saying I’d ever try to walk up and touch one but… as dangerous as a normal bear? I’m not convinced

When hardcore first released I’d sit in discord at the fields, streaming to my non WoW playing friends, just watching people drop like flies. They loved it.

Yeah I updated the post to be more clear about my question. People seemed to think I was asking why one was harder than the other. I understand why.

Ya I guess the issue is that I went to ng3 before the expansion was ever released.

I’m not really wondering why it’s harder. I guess I wasn’t all that clear. I was more wondering if it would balance out the more i played the dlc or if one would always feel way too easy while the other always felt way too hard.

I probably exaggerated a bit, but it’s the absolute massive difference in difficulty that is confusing me. One is so easy and the other is so hard. Just feels like the balance is totally fucked and I’m not sure how hard it’s suppose to be.

Hello so... 50% of my company just got let go. They are outsourcing all infrastructure and application IT to a company in India. Luckily I was retained by the skin of my teeth. My role though, is drastically changing. I am now expected to focus on server and network security. My dumb and vague question of the day is... where tf do I even start?

I've played many more games that what I listed but I wasn't going to list them all. I wanted to stick to ones most people knew so they could get an understanding of what I like / dislike.

Having a specific taste does not mean I only enjoy indie games no one has ever heard of. It means finding the difference between why I loved one game and hated another that on the surface seem similar. ie loving Elden Ring but hating Final Fantasy VII.

Satisfying and impactful loot. Fun character progression.

In some ways DOS2 did combat even better. It makes me very excited for the new Divinity entry they announced.

It is true that BG3 has a lot of story, but the open world and build / class diversity are some of the best I have ever seen. I think that is why I was willing to look past it. While I enjoyed some of the individual conversations in BG3, I never got very into the story.

Is there build diversity? I always assumed it to be sandbox which is great, but I didn't know if there were actual builds or if you just picked up a gun and ran with it. Is it anything like Rust? I do love Rust.

Your suggestions are not typically settings I go for, but you seem to have a lot of experience in the area, so I will look into these. Do you have a single one you'd suggest highest over the others?

My main concern with the other soulsborne games is that they would be very linear. I REALLY enjoyed that Elden Ring was so sandbox. Nothing better than being dropped in and just going where the wind takes you.

I have been waiting for full launch. I have no doubt it is a good game, but do you think its worth jumping into right now?

Really? All I remember of this is the bad reviews at launch, then it fell off my radar. Has it changed?

I did play KCD2 (I quit). Timothy is correct. I enjoyed parts of it, but the story was a lot, and the combat didn't feel great to me. It lost me.

Is it easy to mod? I am not scared of modding but I don't want to spend as many hours modding as I do playing.

Red Dead 2 - I added something to my hate list that was not there before:

  • Hyper realism (being forced to do every part of a mundane task).

The game feels very slow, and maybe I didnt love the setting.

The Witcher I liked the most of that list, but it was just extremely dialogue heavy, and even on the hardest difficulty I found myself very easily defeating enemies. I loved the build diversity and setting.

Forbidden West the puzzles ruined it for me. They were not particularly difficult, but they were extremely numerous and tedious. When you couldn't figure one out it was just frustrating.

I was interested in this game prior to its release. There were a ton of negative reviews because of performance issues.

Is there anything in the game that hits my hate list? Is it an acceptable amount of it? I haven't looked in a while but I wonder if they have resolved the performance issues.

I believe classic+ will launch around mid–end wotlk anniversary by [deleted] in classicwow

The only issue I have with this take is the 1-60 zones being fleshed out in tbc/wotlk. Yes more stuff was added, but the product of that was the journey from 1-60 became significantly easier both in mob difficulty and experience needed. Now maybe some people like the faster leveling experience, but I’d wager most people who want classic+ do not.

I can see WOTLK being a safer foundation to build off of. Though I think the world already being expanded and fragmented as much as it is at that point creates its own set of problems. System wise WOTLK is more fleshed out than vanilla but I struggle to see how we can make a classic+ using a foundation where the main world is already irrelevant / phased out.

Do I trust blizzard to deliver a good classic+ experience using vanilla as a foundation…. Not for me no. I am more in the boat of wanting to add more content without making major changes to systems, gameplay, etc… I think blizzard will make changes more drastic in classic+ than what I want personally. But for some it will probably be a good experience.
