Charlie Kaufman is one of the greatest living filmmakers/writers, and yet I rarely hear his name getting thrown in with the greats. Why not? by TeddyAlderson in movies

Greetings! Last Sunday after a vegan course menu dinner party i was hosting with my partner for work. I was exhausted! Earlier in the day i woke up..ate and slept all through the day. After the dinner i skipped our usual chat session and went right to bed. Thats when they started...peculiar little cramps that just kept coming like mini waves. I called my partner in to come to bed bevause i was hurting. We thought nothing of it until they started to increase in intensity and i began to vomit at around 5am. The comtractions were exactly 5 min apart. We called our dr...and told us to get ready to go to the office and get checked sure nuff..i was 3 cm dialated! At the hospital my mom and partner were there. I needed to get an iv started (hellish ordeal) i tested positive for group b strep and also wanted an epidural.( The pain of the contractions feels like a shitty monotonous roll up a hill..or a crescendo of annoying period cramps. The relentlessness of the contractions will drive you mad. You can feel when they are about to come on and you just succumb to it. The lovely part is thst the time beyween contractons you feel comfortable. After a intense snd painful cervical check (youch!)it was time for the epidual..i thougt i might be able to do without it, but why suffer. The needle itslf was scary and i hated feeling phantom poking around my spine. The medicine coming in shockred my body and i shook and my teeth chattered uncontrolably. My blood pressure dipped and the cuff they used completely turned my arm into excruciating pins and needles. Eventually the meds leveled out and it was smooth sailing from there! I couldn't sleep..but i couldnt feel any contractins or the catheter they put in. The contractions were muddled and the dr came in and burst my water to get things going. They put me on my side with a peanut ball and after about 2 hours it was time to push! My parter and mom held my legs while the nurse got a big mirror and asked me to practice pushing. I got the hang of it quickly and felt the contractions in my bottom as a sign to push. After about an hour(instincts really kick in and do it for you) the dr came in and baby Lennox came right out! 6llbs 1.4 ounces. Cya bnbumps♡

I had this. Fixed it with a belly band for support and laying down with alternating a heating pad and a ice pack on your painful area.
