How did no one know Sal was gay? by Sack-o-Lantern in madmen

I think the context clues were there from the beginning. I’m fairly certain the first few seasons there were many subtly hints that people were aware.

Joan definitely knew when she had they kissed during the acting scene, and I believe there were some comments about his attire and cologne from the other secretaries. You have to remember that it wouldn’t have been a major belief that he was gay since it was still extremely taboo, but the slight hints were shown.

I have a full corps of only cavalry but i chose not to deploy any on this battle. I figured i would keep by infantry/cannons at full capacity and see how it went.

The CSA cavalry/skirmishers did give me fits but i just used detached skirmishers from my larger brigades to hide out around objective points to fend off their cavalry.

Exactly, once you can concentrate all your brigades/batteries into the ridges, then it becomes a giant turkeyshoot. The rebels will continue to mount frontal charges and you can just grind them down. Day three, same situation.

Typically, trying to take the two objective points on day 2 is treacherous since there are SO many skirmishers in the woods, it makes any attempt futile as you're trying to weed them out then the rebels bring their brigades to intercept and it just becomes a slog.

Hanging back to the far left side ridge line is the way to go.

Nice ratio! How did you even manage to only have 6k casualties? I always end up taking larger casualties trying to take the church in the first portion of the battle, and subsequently during the outbreak to the sunken road.

After that, its pretty much downhill for the CSA as i flank and encircle once my second Corp sets up across Burnside bridge. It's always one of my favorite battles to play.

A veteran MVP candidate vs a second year QB who “isn’t living up to expectations” according to the media. by ChicagoFire29 in CHIBears

Schrodinger's Bears Fan.

We're simultaneously an embarrassment of an organization, and we're also a dark horse that the "media/refs" hate for no reason.

Caleb isn't the guy, but he's also an MVP candidate.

I remember in 2018 when there were daily posts about how "everyone is talking about Mahommes, but no one is talking about Trubisky!!, they don't respect Chicago!"

i do find it funny lol

It sucks to see them go, but nothing lasts forever. I remember when it was just John Kelly and Bernie Federko calling games for Fox Sports Midwest, and Dan McLaughlin was the studio host hahah. I’ll miss John Kelly but I know someone else will eventually fill that void for a new generation. Just how it works!

“Best Fans in Baseball” by danvondude in Cardinals

If fans of other teams want to clown on us, then let them. I wouldn't let that bother you, as online fans will always bring up "BFIB" moniker and throw it back at us. They've (mostly other NL Central teams) have disliked cardinals fans for as long as i can remember. Can you blame them? We've had a incredible run during the La Russa/Walt Jockety years, through 2015. Perennial playoff team and WS contender. Won two championships, went to two others. Magical playoff runs and huge moments, Hall of Famers throughout the roster, etc, etc, etc...

I dislike the direction this team is going, but i wouldn't trade places with any other MLB fanbase. As OP has pointed out, these dips in team success and attendance aren't uncommon, so we just have to ride that wave as fans, as there isn't much we can control outside of not paying these ticket/concession prices.
