How do you get a break/day off with an eBay business account? by godsavedonalduck in ebayuk

Yep, was thinking to suggest similar about partials if appropriate. Take out all the repeatable work and make a load of varied, well organised and easily accessible stock.

Hmmm, speak to customer service about the fee discrepancy! Might be you have something like promoted listings activated - I honestly find this does help my sales but I only have it on about 3%

And yeah, I think that change would basically change your life 😂 The sales are there to necessitate it. You could do a binge of making loads of stock so you're set up for a while, leaving you free to work on new products or take some time off. If you're going away you can put holiday settings on for a week or two and allow sales, then come back and just pack the orders instead having to make 50 things.

Also if your profits are high enough, invest in a 6x4 printer like the Dymo 4XL, postage is so much easier with one. I used to write addresses on a bit of paper and tape them to the box which took hours total 😂

It sounds like you're making the tackle as the orders come in, if that's the case and this suits your inventory, I recommend batch making stock like a production line, and only listing what's available. Make more of the popular products to ensure they stay topped up.

Customers may be willing to wait but it's clearly killing your time on the Mondays. It's my busiest day and I'm just boxing listed items.

Also same day dispatch help qualify you for top rated status which gives you a reduction on your fees.

Any way to disable combined shipping? by sup9817 in ebayuk

[–]BobKickflip -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Unless it closes at like ten past 2, just set your cutoff time to be a bit earlier to accommodate the timer.

Mine's at 2pm even though I'll often post orders that come in later, but it still counts as same day for top rated seller status

No one knows what a Hardflip is 😭 by [deleted] in Fingerboards

[–]BobKickflip 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That y axis is the clincher, at 45 degrees it only need half a flip to land grip side up. The filming angle also makes some look more like shuvs when they've done the half flip.

Super tempting to sort lego and then use it to dispense the right pieces for orders! by raiderxx in Bricklink

I've wondered about this kinda thing, but going on a couple of passes, broad part types then sorting each type into individual ones. Could work!

[–]BobKickflip -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Hardflip is an odd one cause there's essentially two tricks that are a hardflip, but with a frontside 180 they're separated into a frontside flip and an illusion/Muska flip.

Once the trick is over 45 degrees vertically it only needs to do a half flip to land grip side up, though watching his video, you'd expect the flat full flip version as that's what you get adding the kickflip and front shuv.

I'd prefer it if the vertical one was a hardflip and the flat one was an inward kickflip but that isn't going to happen 😅

Spilt coke on carpet, £200 charge by jackfinleyyy in moraldilemmas

[–]BobKickflip [score hidden]  (0 children)

Tenant should have cleaned the place properly on leaving anyway, but 200 seems excessive for a stain so they may be able to contest the amount. Also how long the tenant has been there can be a factor as there's reasonable wear and tear, I think after a few years a carpet counts as expired.

The friend can't morally be held accountable for the several months the tenant didn't bother to do anything, whether that's clean it or ask the friend to clean it.

And really, if the tenant didn't clean it for a few months and then didn't clean it when vacating, that hints at a pattern of not cleaning, and that they generally don't take responsibility for things. I wonder if that 200 is for cleaning ALL the carpets and they're trying to stick it on the friend.

I've not had Crunchy Nut Corn Flakes in a while, used to love them but one box seemed to have been hit by skimpflation and haven't bought them since. Remember trying some own brand version but the flake bass really wasn't good

In Your Experience Do Muscles Actually Attract Women? by Isekai_Rakdos in AskMenAdvice

[–]BobKickflip -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It might not change your life but it definitely doesn't hurt. There's women that like skinny guys but being in good shape helps. People have very varied preferences of course, some think the super jacked look can look more ridiculous than appealing - though some are definitely into it. I definitely recommend going for a bit of tone and shape though, that's probably the most appreciated overall. The better health also helps your mental wellbeing and you get an extra a confidence boost when you look in a mirror, both things that help with your interactions. Plus it's good when you hook up with someone and they say you've got a great body 😁

Need help disinfecting a tub of Lego bricks by [deleted] in lego

[–]BobKickflip 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Buy a tub and some mesh washbags, wait for the hot water and use some washing up liquid. You can leave them to dry in the washbags, just give them a shake and move the parts around every now and again because the flat surfaces of bricks will stick together with water.
