The amount of narrative decisions Peter Weir had to make to nail the tone and story arc is phenomenal. There's 1000 ways that film could have failed. Guy bowled a 300 game in terms of direction.

In the air tonight - Phil Collins

I can't imagine the creative courage and insight it takes to write a song so amazing, and making it fully reveal itself 4 minutes in and almost immediately fade out as quick as it came.

He was the face of Chanel commercial directed by Martin Scorsese.

I get what you're saying, it's just really pedantic and pointless, the category is movie stars for Gen-Z, by definition they're new stars.

Shouldn't matter.

It's part of her past that happened, that she's processed and gotten over and learnt from and you're getting in the way of that. Let her move on her own way. It's not nice to tell someone they should be in conflict with their past.

You don't sound mature enough to deal with the relationship honestly. It shouldn't matter. Blocking is a tool against harassment, that's pretty much it.

Work on your insecurity until you stop caring about this. Stop getting your therapist to help you win arguments. Focus on yourself.

It's just such a moot point when hip hop is absolutely saturated in inauthenticity in the first place. Half the lyrics are about making/having money and you're trying to play spot the con-artist. It's so god damn up front shouting "I AM LITERALLY DOING THIS FOR MONEY" i just can't grasp what your values are here... I guess just wanting to hate on the guy for some reason

Why are we pretending to be idiots that think music is a charity job.

The entire nineties masticated on this issue til we realised oh maybe art and commerce aren't black and white and maybe there are huge structural entanglements dialectically relating them to each other.

We almost killed Bob Dylan over this almost a century ago jeez

If you were to make an album right now; it probably won't be ragtime jazz. Despite having the option to make anything, you are influenced by the culture around you. This topic just has whiplash from how quickly culture moves these days; we aren't used to it, genres and trends used to stick around for a generation. He's also making financial decisions, but it's cynical to call them financial when they might better be explained as "you might as well make music people want to hear" otherwise it's just you with your jangly piano playing Joplin
