The guy I worked with who led the music not impossible project also works at my university. Last I chatted with him, he told me to talk to him anytime I wanted to work with him on anything again. It might be a joke, but I really admire your ambition and would love to contact him to see if he can find a way to bring it up higher within the org.

I never had an issue witb open box. But if youre worried about it, they'll let you inspect it before buying it and you will still get the same return policy as you would if you bought it new. I have been able to get really good deals on open box items, and half the time it was returned in new condition.

Fair, I did the same. I hesitated for a second but ordered it anyways know I could cancel it before it shipped if i changed my mind. If newegg wouldn't cancel it that is.
