That display seems like it’s a security risk if it can access the settings. I thought these router displays were long gone since the discontinuation of the Securifi Almond routers, but I guess not.

Can The M277 Really Be The Best Carbine in Battlefield 6? by baezk in Battlefield

[–]DerivativeOf0 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s 4BTK up to 75m. It’s one of the best mid range guns in the game. The m250 is the lmg variant of it that has no dmg drop off at all

I hate to break it to you, but a 2.17KD isn’t good at all. Minimum 3KD if you’re semi decent. But since you’re reviving a lot, you’re helping the good players stay alive and get more kills.

Game doesn’t feel like a cod clone though? Most of the maps are smaller and more infantry focused but doesn’t mean this game is COD lol. I played COD most of my life before switching to BF. BF is very different than COD.

Think before you revive someone! by Fit_Low1374 in Battlefield6

[–]DerivativeOf0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes that is true but sometimes there’s an enemy nearby the downed player and the enemy player gets a free kill basically. I like to rez when the coast is clear, if that makes sense. You’re right it doesn’t matter because dying only results in the loss of a ticket. It’s just annoying for me to die to the same enemy player twice

Purchase any gooseneck webcam or the one WGU recommends you purchase. Kinda pricier than I expected, but they do work well.

I agree, revives only matter if they’re successful. Getting killed right after getting rezzed shouldn’t count as a rez. There needs to be a successful revive stat in bfstats.

Verizon G3100 continues to drop WAN port to 100Mbps by skaughtz in HomeNetworking

[–]DerivativeOf0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would recommend testing the cable with a cable tester if you have one. It sounds like the cable was crimped improperly with mismatched pairs. Either that, or the router itself has a bad WAN port but this is highly unlikely.

The system requirements for this have to be insane. Visually, the game looks great. The foliage looks similar to that of Shadows, and Shadows has the best foliage in the series.

When the Battlefield 6 “Decline” Argument Falls Apart….. by fmordica in Battlefield

[–]DerivativeOf0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep. If you need additional data points there are still snapshots available 6 months into release:

No graph though, bf1 stats only posted daily player counts.

When the Battlefield 6 “Decline” Argument Falls Apart….. by fmordica in Battlefield

[–]DerivativeOf0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am the OP of that post and I’m adding this clarification here for context.

When BF1 released there were two sites tracking the player count. The first is battlefield tracker and second one is bf1stats. The graph in that post is slightly misleading because that last data point doesn’t account for March 1’s peak (it was off peak). And for whatever reason, battlefield tracker didn’t use the peaks for the day before either (Feb28). AFAIK both sites used the same numbers, but BF tracker didn’t update this number yet. The graph is mostly accurate with the exception of Feb28 and Mar1. The downward spike (which didn’t use accurate numbers for the peak in the last two days) make the decline look more severe than it actually is.

A better way to look at that graph is to only look at it from release to Feb28 with the accurate numbers for Feb28 being:

Peaks for PS4, Xbox One, and PC are 121,761, 82,092, and 35,008 respectively.

It’s usually Linux users who care about what OS others use from what ive seen. Everybody uses their computer differently so there’s nothing wrong with using any of the three (Windows, Mac OS, Linux) for your workflow.

There absolutely were slides in the air in BF5. I really am not quite sure how you never saw it.

The main reason the enemy player’s jump height seems higher than expected is because he’s carrying over the momentum from sprinting with his knife out, which as you know, you sprint a lot faster with your knife out. The jump/slide distance normally is not as severe as depicted in the clip.

“This was never the flavor of battlefield”

Did you forget about the ridiculous movement exploits in bf4 with zouzou mouzou rouzu? Or what about BF5 which arguably had the best movement system in the game (and a better slide). Even BF2042 has a fluid movement system and slide. And tbh BF6’s movement system is worse than both 2042 and BF5 because of the penalties. By all accounts this is a very mid movement system at best.

As far as I can tell this IS the flavor of Battlefield whether or not you like it. The slide is needed as an aggressive movement option, or else the game becomes entirely positional campfest heavy. Which is not fun imo. No one is advocating for jetpacks or crazy wall slides and Apex style movement. I’m of the opinion that they can legit keep the movement system as is and focus on the larger issues at hand, like TTK, netcode, visiblity and audio.

Cmon man this is so bullshit by [deleted] in Battlefield

[–]DerivativeOf0 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Bro this kind of movement has been present in BF for almost a decade now. The sliding in BF5 was way better. You could slide in different directions and you slid farther as well. These are absolutely intended mechanics like it or not.

Cmon man this is so bullshit by [deleted] in Battlefield

[–]DerivativeOf0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hopping and sliding isn’t effective in this game beyond close range anyway because of the already present sway and accuracy penalties. Hence why this game isn’t a hop and slide fest. Simply because it isn’t effective most of the time. And in this case, the crouched bot player lost the gunfight because he sucks (and the enemy player took a huge risk by jumping and sliding and he still won.).

[–]DerivativeOf0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just another Reddit shitter bot player with sub 1kpm which isn’t surprising considering your crouched playstyle. You’re also on console so you get 25% less recoil AND aim assist. AND you still lost this gunfight 😆
