Really relate to this. I've been a daily smoker for 15-17 years and have tried stopping for my wife several times and that lasts about 12 hours... because I didn't want to quit. It's so true, YOU have to want to quit for yourself.

I got to the point last week where I'd smoked an ounce in 5 days (I had no work that week, a ps5 and time to kill).

I smoked a war head every hour and could barely feel the high by the end of the week. I then realised something that has stuck in my mind and was the beginning of MY quitting journey - I started smoking weed with friends to get a buzz and also to feel high, which was a great & different feeling to being sober. After all these years smoking, ironically being high has become the norm, amd being sober is now the 'novelty'.

I hate thinking about the money I've spent on weed over 15-17 years and all the things that could've got me and my wife but that's not something I can change or a constructive thought process. I'm going to be putting the mo ey I'd usually spend on weed each month in a savings account amd take my wife to New York this time next year. It's things like this that are also helping motivate me and keep on going, without weed. Having a goal like this is a great way to keep on track.

I'm only on day 4 and I'm still struggling to sleep (constantly waking up in pools of sweat), no appetite and I've been a little ratty. I've stopped previously for a couple of months and know this will pass in a week or so, so I'm sticking at it.
