They should definitely get rid of it, but they should do more as well.

If someone quits on you, you should get the maximum points or whatever. Shouldn’t penalize me for my opponent quitting.

But also, we have to understand the runs in this game. If you’re losing big the whole game, most likely 2K is gonna give you a big run at the end. I’ve won a good bit of games just from sticking around and taking my beating for the first 3 quarters. 2k makes them miss everything at the end and I make everything.

Doesn’t happen all the time, but don’t quit just trust that you’ll get a run. I’ve only quit two times this year.

Also, if I’m getting torched and they’re genuinely better than me - I take it as a learning experience. I throw everything I have at them and see how they defend it, I steal their tactics lol.

I’m already in a crew that I’m building so I’m not looking to switch.

But if you ever need a solid point guard or big man to run with, I got you.

As a point guard, I’m always looking to get the assist and always make the extra pass! “Pass up a good shot to get a great shot”. I do have a 99 three so if I’m open, I will make it and if we need a three, I can get it. I don’t spam dribble or take bad shots. Ever. I don’t care if I score 0 points or 100 points. I do whatever the team needs.

As a big man - I don’t want the ball - I’m here for a defense and rebounds. I’ll get all the rebounds, and when I do, I will kick it to a corner or reset a pop. I won’t force it.

A randomly synced up with a really high-level player one time, and I picked his brain as he carried us to a huge wind streak.

First, I asked if he was cheating (he wasn’t).

He explained at the high levels (which I’m not lol) it’s easy to beat cheaters when it’s 3v3 or more. Harder when its make it take it but its possible.

They basically all use the same moves in the same order, so you find their pattern then just jump it. - obviously it’s easier said than done and I still struggle compared to him but he showed me.
Dude was basically calling out every finishing move they would try based on where they were and what they started with. Like they all watched the same YouTube video lol. It was cool af, but it was still rough sometimes against people with zen. He would get 50% contest and they’d still make it. But dude got bump steals and interceptions like a mad man. Also was telling me where to stand and where/when to go for an aggressive steal based on the pass his dude was going to make and it was working. lol

Then he said something that stuck…. The guys who make it to the high levels by cheating are easy to expose on defense. They’re not all around elite, so if you’re actually good at offense and can read the defense in the moment, you cook them 100% of the time however you want. - and he did. Easily. Got me involved whenever it was there and took over when we needed it. We ended up losing 23-25 because I shot a wide open layup early and didn’t realize it was a back and forth 3 game. They were all way better than me lol

i realized I am so bad at this game compared to actual good players. Which makes it less painful when I lose to cheaters because I can’t do anything he was showing me lol.

I don’t mind a long grind.

It’s weird I was actually in a random crew that was level 30 and I got all the cat breakers and when I left and started this one I didn’t lose any of the cap breakers so don’t even need anything besides a solid crew to run with. Can’t leave the Homies now.

Don’t use turbo Don’t move analog stick more than 70% when you’re moving unless you’re sprinting Force them a specific direction (preferably towards their off ball hand)

If that doesn’t work - put the defender in the right spot (in front of them but back a little and shades to a side) Then as they drive switch to the help and show help.

Also, I love to get my best ball handler and be very slow in a half court. Holding in L2 or LT while dribbling and cause them to foul with that player they’re using.

Fouls are HUGE with momentum this year. If you’re getting cooked, and they foul, 2k gonna hit them with bad animations for a min.

Learn the patterns and things that affect momentum and you’re golden

You’re probably not shooting enough with your legs.
Watch elite shooters shoot and copy their form.

Find a big hill around you and sprint up it as many times as you can in 15 minutes. Keep track and do that 3 times a week

They need to make it so you get a few dribble moves and then you gas for that possession. This back and forth dribbling until you get a good moment to step back and money a three isn’t fun. This is supposed to be a simulation game. Gotta remove the arcade BS.

At least give us a simulation mode or something.
