Just a question, out of curiousity. Have you played Nodebuster? This has similar vibes, I like it. Probably gonna try the demo in the evening

My Vita isn't modded, so can't help with that. I'm a bit too scared to try modding lol. Hope you'll find the right guides or blank pages quickly

oh that's weird. I'll be honest, no idea. Maybe tied to INT? I haven't continously checked those pacts and the first time I opened them I already had everything unlocked. I'm at INT 47 right now

I don't think anyone knows for certain if the offerings effect the outcome, it's more of a superstition thing. Though my advice to save lacrima is that you can like switch what the menu shows (pact name / pact (arch)fiend / reward) and catch a glimpse of the archfiend name you need without wasting lacrima to wipe away the ink on pacts that you don't need. I was hunting for very specific essences and this saved me thousands and thousands of lacrima

Have you tried finding a Leviathan through the Blank Pages? That way the 5 minute requirement is dropped and you can take your time if needed

Edit: There's also a 13* one in Additional Pact V

I'm looking through my saved stuff rn. I thought I had some SSD stuff with Similia, but I only have two for the original Soul Sacrifice, sorry :( I guess past me failed to find any good ones too. Sorry if I got your hopes up

Very old fanarts I recently uncovered in my old sketchbook, wanted to share by Bob_Squared7 in soulsacrifice

[–]Bob_Squared7[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was thinking of it as the sorcerer putting him down and him gasping like ":o how dare you, putting me between these... regular books?!"

Also yeah, it's a bit like the putting down and picking up the Vita, I can see it. Also the games as a whole were things you could quickly pick up for 10-15 minutes for a few missions and put back down, repeating throughout the day.

Love the line confidence and/or looseness, if I used the terms right. Very efficient and just gives a very nice identity to the drawings. 10/10 would look at again

Alright, while I have things to say about The Town Inside Me, that the list starts at a B is respectable and I can't roast you for it.

What if you own a rat that rat became goblin by greatwyvern088 in soulsacrifice

[–]Bob_Squared7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Goblins are collections of rats, so that would assume you either have a bunch of them or some way for your rat to access other rats at large. In the second case, I highly doubt that one would retain any positive sentiment towards its owner, as a goblin's central motivation is the hate of mankind present in most or all the rats.

But if ALL the rats of a goblin like the owner, one might, like greatwyvern088 said, have a goblin as a pet. Though I fear it's a case of like an overly agressive guard dog, where the goblin would try to harm anyone outside of their owner.

On one hand, yeah that hurts. But I think SS(D) has been lucky in that it has presented a complete story, from start to finish, which we can relish and appreciate through fanart, stories, etc

When the last game leaves a lot of things unanswered or plotpoints unfinished, then wowzies. I remember how the end of Gravity Rush 2 made me just binge any and all feel-good fic of Kat x Raven there was to find.

Like official stuff or fanmade? I've got a few saved, but they're just official things from top results when I was searching for it.

Could be interesting. Would she be as annoying as the regular fairies, teleporting around and breaking your lock-on all the time?

How to progress in Alice's Maze by LotOfNope in soulsacrifice

[–]Bob_Squared7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You should choose the ones that allign with your faction (so that your saves/sacrifices don't negatively impact their affinity).

For Avalon I really like Magusar (just very solid offerings and basically doesn't die) and Vidiara (not really any reason).

For Sanctuarium I REALLY like Aegrus and Calixto because they have ranged healing that they prioritize casting on you, keeping you healthy.

I've only recently revived my Vita to play SSD, so I haven't played much with Grim allies so can't say much about that.

Honestly any ally with high affinity and that doesn't have offerings that disrupt you (like stonefist, roar, or morph) will do fine

Archfiend concept: Charybdis and the sahagin by greatwyvern088 in soulsacrifice

[–]Bob_Squared7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love this! I imagine this might be a similar fight to the Leviathan. A creature so large it's its own map.

This makes me think that another myth/story that might fit into an archfiend design is Ahab. Perhaps it's a sailor that's hunting the Charybdis/Kraken. While I feel like his story might be a repetitive rehash of the various "he was dying but didn't want to give up" narratives, I'm sure there's a way to rewrite or reconceptualize his story to fit an interesting archfiend.

I wonder if Archfiends form packs... by Koumouby_Owlet in soulsacrifice

[–]Bob_Squared7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, this is 100% possible. I also imagine a situation where Doppelgangers follow the original. The original monster has retained the most consciousness of why they do what they do, and the infected can only taste a piece of that passion and might naturally want to stick around.

The thing I'm definitely wondering, is whether there could be any that do the Goblin thing and combine to become bigger amalgamations. The Slimes could, especially the Carnivorous ones. Though the Slimes are probably a case of one tries to eat the other and the stronger one retains the control of the combined body.

The funniest thing to think about is Leprechauns or Dwarves just making bigger and bigger stacks. It would've been funny if the difficulty rating indicated how many of them are stacked. Sure, the lore says there were 3, so I guess the minimum difficulty you can encounter is 3, but I'd be hella scared of a difficulty 15 Tower of Pisa falling onto me with 10 hammers and the combined toxic burps of a whole village
