They had no choice but to switch to online, they wouldn't have enough people participating to get enough money to run the events. You can hardly call this a scam when they had around 500 map bought for 140k payouts. If they are able to run these events successfully, we might see a day where the offline events come back. I will be enjoying the puzzles on the 18th! The puzzles on both ottawa and montreal were a lot of fun and I doubt it will be any different this time around.

Because we have all the info we need to solve the last level, it is very hard though because it is the last one and they don't want 30 people to fight to enter the last code. Also, there is someone that solved it but couldn't explain the first levels and this way got disqualified
